Making love to a business isn't normal.

But on capitalism it is.

Capitalism: not even once.

I feel for Wisconsans dealing with this asshattery but folks, you voted this douche in and you're probably gonna do it again in 2014.

If you think the money means love I have bad news. They don't love you.

Hang on, I'll be right back, just have to see how the wolf is doing looking after the chicken coop.

2014-01-03 05:48:15 PM
And I don't know how you do it, making love out of nothing at all!

And yet when I say that to girls at the gym, suddenly I'M the creep!

The governor has a GREAT personality. And he's really funny and mature. We're, like, soul mates.

Don't worry, the love will surely trickle down.

What is, what did Bush say to the oil executive in his first term energy policy meeting?

And by "love" he means "f*ck"

"..state Revenue Department Secretary Rick Chandler extolling state efforts to reduce taxes..."

Either his department is named very inappropriately or this is a facepalm-worthy case of "you put who in charge of what now?"

I'm really excited about the whole "give us loans that we don't have to pay back" thing, as well as the "after we write everything off so we owe no taxes, the state should give us money" thing.

/Step 1:  Form own company that actually does nothing
/Step 2:  Move to Wisconsin
/Step 3:  PROFIT!!!!

They let him keep office in a recall. I like Wisconsin but they get what they want in this case. There's some pretty stupid reasons for not voting against him too.

In Ohio we put that SOB in his place and he's pandering like a biatch because of it. WI could have done that. I wish they would have. Many people put up a helluva of fight but were ultimately sunk by morons. Enjoy your corporate wonderland, thanks to Scooter.

Is it even that? To me that reads more like "Oh these poor CEO's/business owners will be so scared to speak in front of a large gathering". You know, because people who run/head medium to large, successful businesses are usually extreme introverts.

As a fabulously wealthy corporate overlord, I want to inform you that I refuse to let my minions sully me by being in the same room as I am.  I only communicate to them through a 8 x 8 flat screen that is flanked on each side by fearsome gargoyles.  I also have my security staff force my minions to prostrate themselves before and go through ritual supplications before I will deign to hear them and consider their requests.

My fishing group was drinking with the owner of the camp we go to every year at the camp's restaurant bar, he said he had enough, tossed my buddy the keys and told us to lock up when we were done. That awesome night is apparently everyday as a corporate donor to the GOP in Wisconsin.

The other reason Scotty is doing this is worry. He's got a CEO running against him in 2014 and his vaunted jobs promise hasn't materialized. He's basically begging to get jobs that he needs to get reelected.

I can't understand why job creators don't want to live in a state that cuts education spending, cuts spending on infrastructure, and creates a hostile working environment for public employees.

It's almost as if we're supposed to believe that job creators have children that go to school, drive their cars on roads, and interact with public employees on a daily basis.  But I'm sure that's not true.  I am pretty confident that all the real job creators send their kids to private schools in helicopters, and are unaffected by the Scott Walker's asshattery.

And I'm sure many of those invited gave handsome campaign contributions to her, too.

How is this shiat legal? How is giving massive tax credits to businesses to relocate to your area, in exchange for implied campaign support, anything other than legalized bribery?

If we got rid of gerrymandering (see: Iowa) and had publicly funded elections, most of our governmental problems would vanish.

It's not really about being scared, but especially in some industries, your competitors can play spin doctor on par or better than politicians, so unless you want every competitor to twist your words out of context, you try to stay off the record as much as possible to give them less ammo.   My CEO still gets flak from our competitors for a statement made almost ten years ago, where they quote half of her statement to make it sound like she was talking about something completely different than the topic she was discussing.

Plus, if you're talking about areas where your company is struggling, you don't want that to get out to competitors or prospective clients.

Even if WI had a system like that before the Walker Wrecking Crew (TM) would have repealed that right away after the 2010 election before they redrew the maps.

Then you wouldn't talk about it in a room full of 50 people, none of which work for your company.

Aren't corporations designed by law to be psycopaths? Profit is the only motivation a corporation has to its share holders, period. How can you love a psycopath when they can never love you back? Its just asking to be abused.

They are only psychopaths because current court case law requires them to be like that.  It wasn't always like that.  I sure wish that more people would read about the evolution of corporations in the USA and not just assume that they were handed down from God.  The founding fathers would be embarrassed by the amount of power that we've given them.  They were adamant that corporation should only be given enough power to do limited projects and then be dissolved.  They saw how the East Indian Company acted and they didn't want it to happen again.  But here we are...

Kleefisch didn't intend for video her staff shot at the Beloit meeting to be released to the public. But the State Journal requested the footage under the state Open Records Law. Kleefisch said she doesn't think the video is a public record, but she released it anyway to avoid further distractions.

Well that's... encouraging...

Good luck, and remember - bareback is extra!"

you could probably stimulate more economic activity giving the middle class and poor that actually live there the tax breaks and sweetheart deals they are trying to give to possibly fly by night out of state companies.
