TheJoe03: John Buck 41: TheJoe03: buddy.

I'm not your 'buddy'. Jesus, is it so hard to admit your reading comprehension skills are subpar?

I'm not your guy, buddy. People that brag about how they live in shiatty weather places give me douche chills, get over it.

How stupid are you? HE wasn't complaining. Read it again. And again. And again. And again. And again. And again.

Hey, it's the loser that trolls a sport he says he doesn't care about.

Joe, indeed I am mocking people who are complaining about the weather. We have good coffee, rosy cheeked women and high tech down filled jackets to keep us warm....or you can sit in your nice warm house and tell me I grew up in a sh*thole and currently live in one via the wonderful inter-tubes.....point is; there is weather it isn't bad or good it's just weather, we all deal with it regardless of where we live.
I live in a town where I can go ski touring from my front door, go hug old growth cedars and hemlocks 10 minutes from my house, there are colossal peaks 2 hours away that would be national parks anywhere else in the world, I can do huge downhill mountain bike rides shuttled by public transit, etc. if that is sh*tty to you, well so be it. Sorry you're so pissy, maybe you just haven't realized you won the f*cking lottery being born where you are. That's not lost on me.

I was born in Houston, hardly the lottery, but I get your point. But yeah, people have every right to complain about weather that can KILL you. The only reason it doesn't kill you is because you grew up around it but it doesn't make someone a pussy if they die because they didn't grow up in it and have to deal with all of a sudden. I live in San Jose now, and we had a so called "cold snap" (dipped in the low 30s, no big deal, but it's not normal here) and quite a few homeless died from it. I remember a heatwave (in the 90s, again, no big deal) that hit Europe and it killed dozens of people. They have every right to complain in those situations, you know, because it killed them.

Joe

My grandparents survived the 30's in the prairies I can't begin to fathom the difficulties they faced. That said, what good is complaining going to do? They didn't have twitter to say to anyone who would listen, "Damn, I am hungry" or "F*ck is it cold"  they just survived somehow, probably suffered. You have to deal with the situation with action. For example in San Jose, people could have donated blankets, provided heaters, shelters, sleeping bags, etc. and helped their fellow man. I can empathize for sure but I have seen people with way less than us deal with way worse because they just get down to dealing with it. I can complain about being hungry or I can shut up and get a sandwich and if I can't sort that out I can ask for help. Maybe I have over simplified it.

Hey, it's the guy that calls everybody names when he runs out of arguments.  And, by the way, I don't care, but you people are so fun to bat around, I can't resist.

We're talking about -50 degree weather here, not regular weather. That's not normal for 99% of the people on this planet. I'm also sure your grandparents complained every now and again about the weather. Weather is literally the most go to small talk, it's normal to comment on the weather, good or bad. I respect that you aren't the type to biatch about stuff like that, and that is probably because you grew up in the environment you did. Hell, I wish more people in California were like you, people here biatch about NICE weather.

merrillvillain: I am unfortunately considered an essential employee at a refinery on the southern tip of Lake Michigan. Worked outside 5 hrs. this morning and it was cold, but managable. -10 wind chill but went up as the day went on. If anybody cares I had to repair a large bucket crane used to scoop up coke.

You have enough coke to need a bucket crane, why arent we having the party at your place?

New Age Redneck As someone who grew up in Saskatchewan I am getting a kick out of the "life threatening weather".....nobody ever used to say a word about - 40C, they just dealt with it.....when did everyone become whiny little pussies about the f*cking weather?

/dry cold that -40   :D
//Mt. Rhuapehu New Zealand, minus 1 C, 100% humidity, 60 knot wind, that is life threatening....

Congrats, you live in a shiatty place.

whiny little pussies. Whiny little pussies. Whiny little pussies.
About the f#cking weather.

TheJoe03 is right. You deserve to live in your shiaty hometown. And within your shiatty soul. Bonus: you are trying to sound so manly yet seemed repulsed by pussy.
