An unconfirmed report originating from the official PRC news service about the execution of a man considered an ally of the Chinese government? Sounds legit.

Really? Who has 120 starving dogs on call?

What incentive would there be to lie?

I would have found it more believable if it were 120 starving North Koreans.

You have doubts about a regime that has acted barbaric in pretty much every past execution (not including everyday actions) would act barbaric in this execution?

And then you realize that all those people at the celebration basically ate the general.

I won't speak for Cagey B, but I won't take a single unverified report from a news source with an axe to grind at face value.

After reading "Nothing to Envy," I sincerely doubt that there are 120 dogs in all of North Korea.

no idea if this is true or not, but i'm betting it wasn't something as quick and painless as a bullet.

If true, that's pretty messed up. I have to wonder about the dogs, though; if they're raised by humans, don't they consider people to be packmates, and thus off-limits for eating? Or does there come a point where they just don't care anymore? I can't imagine there'd be 120 feral dogs available in a place where they're considered walking dinner.

I found it interesting that the uncle had Chinese connections and was open to economic reforms like China. Sort of a serious slap in the face to North Korea's only ally.

Seems these North Koreans are holding Soeul and Bejing hostage, IMHO.

At this point, North Korea is like a caricature of a brutal dictatorship. Like some sort of darkly comedic fictional regime.

Is that really a thing? If the dogs were starving enough to attack, kill and consume two humans why wouldn't they have turned on the smaller dogs first?  I mean people are big and most predators don't attack things that are larger than them if there is smaller prey available.  It's not a hard and fast rule I know but it just seems odd that you could keep 120 dogs in one room to the point where they are completely mad with hunger and have them patiently wait until a non dog is thrown into the room.

Thats what I said. Plus 6 guys, working together? you think they would have at least been able to take a few dogs with them.

You slather the dogs in really spicy hot sauce so they won't eat each other.

I have doubts that one dictatorship's official PR organ is portraying accurately the actions of another dictatorship that it's currently pissed at, yes.

I would also have doubts if Fox News passed along unconfirmed reports that Kim Jong Un had these guys slowly lowered into a tank full of sharks while he petted a cat and went "mwahahaha!".

I'm amazed they had 120 live dogs. That's a lot of meat running around. Tasty meat. And I bet those dogs had been starving for more than five days.

The governments of the planet let Best Korea stay intact so their citizens can say "at least we aren't north koreans".  If we wanted to, we have the tactical capability to blast Kimmy and his entire leadership into dust.  But, if we did that, who would there be to drive fear-mongering when needed?

If true... this is one seriously sick mutha....  Even by Fark standards.
