vudukungfu: It's the law, people, it's the law.Yeah, yeah, I know. Boo hoo. there's a negro in the white house.Affordable health care is now the law and being against that is going against the law.Lock these pricks up in a cold jail and take away their Porsches.
doglover: Every time someone with a life threatening illness is denied treatment that would save them, we simply hang the CEO of the insurance company that denied them and promote the next senior executive.Oh, and you can't quit the job to save your ass as your neck will be on the docket at the gallows for as long as you're in the insurance game for ANY company at the maximum seniority you achieved anywhere for up to and including a year and a day AFTER you no longer work in the industry. So no bailing with golden parachutes.
The Beatings Will Continue Until Morale Improves: I fully expect teabaggers to be picketing outside doctor's offices screaming at patients to not use their new Obamacare insurance because it's Socialism™.
Parthenogenetic: Prediction: Implementation of ICD-10 this year will be a clusterfark, which will also be blamed on 0bamacare despite having nothing to do with it, especially since the rollout will be a few weeks before 2014 elections.
Bullseyed: The Beatings Will Continue Until Morale Improves: I fully expect teabaggers to be picketing outside doctor's offices screaming at patients to not use their new Obamacare insurance because it's Socialism™.Are you implying that anyone is in a position to actually use "obamacare insurance"? That opinion of yours demonstrates an extreme disconnect from reality.
oryx: Three years to prepare for this and people don't even have insurance cards.
TheSwizz: oryx: Three years to prepare for this and people don't even have insurance cards. This is not the first time I've heard this today. Questions:1. Is this the new Fox talking point?2. Is this how low on the list they are getting?3. How many more items after 'insurance card-gate' are there?4. What happens after the list?5. I was told there would be punch and pie, is this correct?6. Is it homemade pie, or frozen store bought?7. Should I bring my own whipped cream?
Elzar: It's funny how insurance companies have no problem taking your money - if they can't remember who has coverage its their own farking fault... Just start slapping them with big farking fines for everyone who is signed up that has denied coverage.
Spare Me: Yea right. It's all the insurance company's fault.
hp6sa: As someone working in the insurance industry trying to implement the ACA here - fark you subby. Here's a typical conversation lately with my counterpart with the state:State guy: we need to send out new insurance cards so everyone has cards in hand by Jan 1.Me: Sure. When are you going to send the enrollment file?State guy: Dec 31st. Maybe.Me: And what's going to be in it?State guy: I don't know. Maybe some incomplete records, hell, I don't know.Me: You realize that I can't...State guy: YOU'LL GET NOTHING AND YOU'LL LIKE IT!I'm not against ACA conceptually... but Jeebus has the implementation been screwed up at every level. I'm not surprised about the stories that no one can confirm who actually has insurance, because the insurance companies don't know, because the states don't know, and the counties don't know. It's just farked up all around, and it will take months to sort out.
