I've never been more proud of my country.

No, wait.  That's not right.  What's the opposite of proud?

Horny?

At least the NFL has kept the Giants and Jets away from the game.

FriarReb98: ...wow. So, want to tell me how easy it is to have a security perimeter around a 26.2 mile course that goes through residential neighborhoods without it looking like the road to Cold War Berlin?

Christo could have done it:

Lt. Cheese Weasel: skinink: ""The NFL has been thinking about the security of the Super Bowl since its very beginning, but particularly after 9/11,""

#$$#@ $#%$#$@ @# @##$%*(* 9/11! At this point it's used as a convenient excuse to enact measures even George Orwell couldn't have imagined. I fully understand it's a private venue and they can do whatever the hell they want concerning security measures. It's just tiring to see them use 9/11 as a catch all for doing anything in the name of security.

9/11 was over 12 years ago. So long ago that on that date, the remembrance seems to have died down. It seems like last year there really wasn't that big of a deal made about the lives lost. Might as well have been just another day.

Funny, that is what many said about the Boston Marathon 2013 too.

And then people said we should ban pressure cookers.

If they'd host it in Omaha they wouldn't have to worry.
