Subby's headline is misleading.  They will be crushed to death by an avalanche of irony.

are they going to include the part of the 'real story' where this was a bunch of global warming scientists who couldn't replicate a trip made during the early 1900's because there is more ice in the antarctic now than there was then or are they going to continue to leave that part out?

Marcus Aurelius: SlothB77: So, using your line of reasoning declining ice in the arctic is *not* evidence or proof of global warming.  Good to know.

I go by CO2 levels, which are increasing rapidly.  We've known since the 1800's what CO2 in the atmosphere does.

OK then Mr. Smarty Pants, if CO2 levels are increasing rapidly, exactly what then is causing the ice buildup in the Antarctic DESPITE the raising CO2 levels?   If you can't clearly explain it or effectively model it, you don't fully understand it.  If you don't fully understand it but you blindly follow it, it is religion not science.

The funny thing is that they were never in any real danger to begin with.  They were just terribly inconvenienced.  They had heat, and enough supplies to last for a very long time.  So much, in fact, that the 16 crew members (that actually belong there), are still there.  They intend to remain until they can safely get the boat out.

It's freezing here at my house, so global warming can't be for real!
