MechaPyx: /p.s. dating sucks

Actually, it sucks the asphalt off the entire interstate highway system.

Mind you, if you are fortunate to find 'that' one, it makes it all worthwhile. Plus, all those dreadful experiences from dating seem like very distant memories.

I was the queen of the first/last date for quite some time. I don't envy anyone who is single and/or lonesome.

No, no, no, that's how many dicks one has to suck (in a row)... Diaphoresis' question was clearly the Ultimate Question of Life, the Universe, and Everything, so the answer is obviously 42...

So for every woman out there, she will sleep with 3 men if you count after marriage. If the ratio of women to men is about 50/50 the odds are pretty good. But, you still aren't getting any.

I want to be interviewed for one of these. I wonder if they would throw my answers out... Like how they throw out the top score in some sports judging.

I also wonder where long-term sex-only relationship sit on the spectrum. I have a bullpen of about five guys that I've farked on a regular rotation for a couple of years now, in addition to what is apparently way over my allotted quota of one night things . I don't call them friends with benefits, because we don't hang out for any other reason...

15 kisses and 2 long long-term relationships. Factor in the 10 sexual partners and that means if you kiss the girl, you have a 67% chance of getting her to bed, but only a 14% chance of getting roped into a relationship. I wish I had this information when I was younger.

Wait a minute. That's pretty close to how my life turned out.

I don't know, I've actually kissed far fewer than I've farked. But then, I'm a bit of a slut.

In my experience the only females who attend Fark parties are married to Farkers already.

As long as it's a Fark swinger party, I either have no problem with this, or have just horrified myself. I can't know for sure without more data.

taurusowner: Also, I've heard virtually everywhere else that men are actually moving farther and farther away from traditional marriage and commitment. With the way civil courts, divorce, child support, and domestic violence laws are written, marriage is more and more of a losing game for men every day. I'm very curious how eHarmony got that tidbit from the results.

Having just gone through a divorce myself, this sounds about right.  Marriage seems more and more like a temporary social arrangement that occurs until one or both partners finds an "upgrade".  (yeah, I know my opinion is skewed)

And Eharmony?  Maybe so many of their members allegedly get married because they're motivated to justify the $60/month they have to pay?

gaslight: People who don't understand what average means will come in and say that all women are sluts.

No, the sluts are on the right hand side of the bell curve and given that people lie about sex, the number is probably skewed but Heaven knows in what direction.

Studies show women lie on the low side, and men lie high, IIRC.

Men wish they could be as slutty as women. And really, that's indicative of women having more power in the area of who get's laid.  The "shaming" really, is poorly veiled jealousy. (Except for the religious types, they're just crazy)

It's a trade off really, because looks don't matter as much if you're a guy. "Handsome" is inherently more vague than "beautiful".

Dude, I love first dates. Sure, there are some duds, but it's fun to get to know someone, have a nice evening, and maybe give yourself a chance for some sexy time. If you don't have fun on the first date, you're doing it wrong or you invited the wrong person.

How many women will the average man kiss? If your answer is NOT "fifteen," please show your math. Men kissing "invisible women" doesn't count.

Experiment: draw an equal number of circles and squares. Connect them with lines in a way that, on average, a circle has lines connecting to fifteen squares. I am guessing that now you will also have, on average, a square connecting to fifteen circles.

Am I wrong? Show me my mistake.

Charlie Freak: It's scien

ce

I think it varies significantly by education and social class.

The patten you describe sounds like the typical 4-year college girl relationship arc, but there a lot of others, most of which are a lot more dysfunctional.

The most common pattern I've seen in the millennial generation is date some "bad boy" loser (musicians seem to a popular choice), get knocked up between 19 and 21,  either get dumped by babydaddy or kick him to the curb.  Most of the time they swear off men for a few years while raising the shiathead's spawn, then desperately start searching for a serious mate when the kid starts school.  The minority option is to date a string of successive deadbeat shiatheads, and do the same thing all over again, and/or give shiathead #1 a second (or third or fourth) chance to change (which he never does).

2014-01-02 09:05:58 AM
Most never find "the one", they meet someone when they're young, they fall in love, then they do something stupid to f it up...because we do stupid shiat when we're young. You then spend years trying to find someone else that made you feel like you did before. Most fail.

Then "the one" turns into "you'll do." Millions deny this is them, but your friends and family know, they know.
