he said he could stop anytime he wanted.

How the hell...?

I had to remove about 26 gallons of old gas from a car that had been sitting for about four years, and since the car had no plug on the fuel tank and had a mechanical fuel pump I ended up having to siphon it, and I ended up with a mouthful.

I was retching for the better part of an hour for that. How could anyone manage to drink it, aside from Chocolate Mousse?

That's odd. I had a friend who liked to drink transmission fluid. He said he was going through some serious shift

So what if he drinks from the pumps. As long as he pays for it, what difference does it make?

2014-01-01 02:21:39 PM
Poor guy just wanted to get tanked and have a gas.  Who among us hasn't found ourselves running on fumes, looking for some energy to get our motor running?  Granted, do it enough and you won't be firing all four cylinders, and it's full of carbs, but getting hosed once in a while won't hurt.

I don't think he's paying for it.

He attended meetings to beat the habit - but stank stank so strongly of petrol he was deemed a fire hazard and kicked out.

I read that in a tacky black 'ho voice.

TFA says the pumps were "slashed". I assume that means he's cutting the hoses and drinking the residual gasoline that's sitting in them. Be nice if the reporter had done a better job of explaining, but that's the news biz these days.

I remember as a kid, a lot of the homeless people in the city drank LYSOL...yes, drank it. They'd pop the bottom of the cans open like an apple juice can and swig it back like it was fine wine.

They said it tasted like soapy water.

Ironically, one of the people - known as "Charlie The Indian"  - drank the stuff for YEARS...and what killed him finally was he got hit by a car.

As for this guy, I'm not really sure that arresting him is the best idea. I would say that in addition to whatever chemical dependency that he has from gasoline, he clearly has mental issues as well. Arresting him and throwing him in a jail cell has done nothing for him.

Back in the 80's I had a friend who liked to drink Riunite, until he found out it was laced with antifreeze. He died anyway.

Weird. My cousin liked to drink starter fluid. Our attempts to get him to rehab always stalled due to his procrastination.
