Farking Baptists....

picodenico: harleyquinnical: That sounds like a poor person's grasshopper, delicious. I'd trade if possible.

Heh, I don't have any vanilla ice cream, or else I'd be making a grasshopper since we have everything else and it's quickly becoming one of my favorite drinks.

Grasshoppers are one of my favorite drinks, especially for dessert.  I'm also partial to Manhattans, Moscow mules, and bourbon highballs.

Have the Bears gone into early hibernation or something?  Possible New Year's Eve hangover?  They need to wake up or be humiliated on national television.

Aar1012: AdamK: Aar1012: Did I hear them say that these are the first BCS bowl games for both teams? I swear Baylor was in a BCS bowl with RGIII

Alamo Bowl

Just seems weird to think that Baylor has never made a BCS bowl.

Based on how UCF is making Baylor their biatch. I'm not surprised.

I have not heard of this one....

Yeah, this is looking very one sided so far. They probably ate too many Tostitos.

2014-01-01 09:14:37 PM

picodenico: Every time they mention Storm Johnson, I think of Portal.

TD PORTAL!!!

Another note of HUGE SUCCESS with that TD.  I may start referring to CFU as Apature Science: they do what they must because they can.

By a team they were favored by 17 against, no less

PluckYew: Paul Baumer: steamingpile: Paul Baumer: steamingpile: Paul Baumer: Regardless of outcome, Stanford is another PAC12 pretender exposed at this point.  One offensive touchdown and down 7 after 3+ quarters coming in touted just behind Caesar's legions and the Afrika Korps

Unless their coach leaves Stanford is the developing team that will dominate the pac12 in years to come.

Well bully for them I guess.

Point is they're no pretender.

They were big favorites today, before MSU lost it's captain.  Merely noting the underformance .

Lines are set by money wagered not by quality of opponents.

Except ESPN's matrix showed Stanford a 15 point favorite over MSU on a neutral field.  Literally none of the pundits were predicting an MSU victory.  Of course, not many of them thought Sparty would spank the Buckeyes either.

I have not heard of this one....

Ginger beer, vodka, lime twist served on ice.  Cock & Bull has a recipe for it on their bottles of ginger beer.  Oh right, I also like a Dark & Stormy during the summer.

Baylor is finally awake on offense.

2014-01-01 09:16:57 PM
Baylor is going with the standard Big XII defense...

None

2014-01-01 09:18:49 PM
Well, Baylor sorta did something there.

harleyquinnical: Ginger beer, vodka, lime twist served on ice.

Huh...interesting. Not sure how I'd feel about a ginger beer and vodka together.

Not even sure I've had a ginger beer before, actually.

Apature Science maintains their safeguards on the latest round of tests.  Time for some more active experiments.  BRING ME GORDAN FREEMAN!

/I may be a little tipsy from the Biere de Garde I've been drinking.
//10% ABV is awesome
///3rd glass no less.

None

So the standard 'prevent defense' where the only thing it prevents is the user from winning?

picodenico: Huh...interesting. Not sure how I'd feel about a ginger beer and vodka together.

Ginger beer is non-alcoholic normally and is just unfiltered ginger ale, usually with more ginger.  A Dark & Stormy is ginger beer, Bermuda rum (Gosling's Black Seal officially,) and lime.

You've been wanting to make that joke for a while, haven't you, announcer man?

Again, I think I've found your problem. If you don't like the hype, blame the hype machine

my GF just called the Tostitos party number in that ad and got a http 500 error. I know what that is, but I've never heard of one over the phone...

someone explain.  This is what Fark is for.

Internal server error.  DHCP server might not have made a reservation for the VOIP line.

2014-01-01 09:28:56 PM
Glad to see that UCF replaced their previous commercial that pretty much just portrayed the university as a resort where you can play sports.

Were those Baylor players, or fans? Inactive players?

Apature Science safety protocols failed.  Status:  Bear invasion.

Since HTTP stands for Hyper TEXT Transfer Protocol, how does a phone line return any http error?

Did it read to her?   ''http five hundred", etc.

From Wikipedia:
500 Internal Server ErrorA generic error message, given when an unexpected condition was encountered and no more specific message is suitable.

Maybe the VOIP system screwed the pooch?

Love the Umpire getting a little to close to the action on that run play.  Glad he didn't get crushed by anyone.

Bortles: Worthy of pre-Draft ranking or no?

Yes. A recording said http 500 error.

I'm pretty sure they were undressed/inactive players.  Most likely non-scholarship walk-ons.

PluckYew: Outshined_One: Did Mussberger say the big ten lost three in a row?

That's correct.

Stanford last year, Oregon the year before and TCU the year before that.

Ahhhhhh, thought he meant this bowl season.

2014-01-01 09:42:07 PM
Just saw that ad for the Sewell.  Anyone else think: "Many Shuvs and Zuuls knew what it was to be roasted in the depths of the Slor that day, I can tell you!"?

karmaceutical: Bortles: Worthy of pre-Draft ranking or no?

As a UCF alum, I've watched him play the last two seasons.  I'm surprised they've thrown so little in this game, but if you're able to run, why do anything else?  My biggest gripe with watching him play is that a high percentage of his throws either seem to be bubble screens or dragons.  He doesn't seem to throw a lot in the 10-15 yard range.  He's got the size and the athleticism, but I'd like to see him come back and work on those passes next season.  He's basically risen to the rating due to the small sample size of qbs that might be available this draft.

2014-01-01 09:48:07 PM
Wait, there's a line now that actually says 'field goal range' superimposed on the field???

2014-01-01 09:49:06 PM
Okay, I know recently watching 'Dodgeball' may skew my memory as much as the beer I've consumed, but is it just me or does the main announcer for this game sound like Gary Cole?

Whoopsies.

picodenico: Wait, there's a line now that actually says 'field goal range' superimposed on the field???

Yeah.  I don't know when they started doing that line, but they are up to 3 lines per red zone play.  They need to slow down and go into rehab for that much coke.

2014-01-01 09:52:40 PM
Portals, no sense crying over every mistake

Pseudo punt!

PluckYew: only on ABC/ESPN games for now. I hope it bites them in the ass somehow but can't think of a way it would.

Huh, I don't remember seeing it on ABC games this year (no cable), but I haven't seen a ton of games.

harleyquinnical: Yeah. I don't know when they started doing that line, but they are up to 3 lines per red zone play. They need to slow down and go into rehab for that much coke.

Yeah, that's absurd.

Whoops.  The Apature Science Dragon was slain by a Bear.

You know seeing UCF in a BCS game, it probably makes Notre dame people realize they may have farked up by not hiring him anyway.

The opposite of artificial turf

People underestimate emotion and another teams resolve to win the game, if there is a team fighting to save their coach or their positions for next year I will put money on them over a favorite everyday.

Really, Bears?  Trying to draw them offsides after what looked like an intervention rather than a huddle lasting almost the full play clock?

Well pooper scoopers.
