[entertainment.blogs.foxnews.com image 318x400]

I believe Kevin Sorbo's latest film is actually called "The Leavinging"

Haha, good thing I'm done drinking.

33 degrees and dark here .

2014-01-01 06:13:39 AM
78 degrees.  Moon is bright and at 6:15am on Jan 1st I am trying to decide if I need another beer or just go get breakfast.. Beer, beer has food qualities so decision made.

Hope you fine folks at Fark have a great New Year

SNOWSTORM!!!?!!!  In HOUSTON??!!!???!!!  You make me laugh!!!

I refuse to participate in discussing "named winter storms", especially from the Weather Channel.
Good day, sir.

Nearly 80F and sunny

Currently -6F here with more cold weather expected as far out as they can forecast.. Monday's high is supposed to be -10.

Good God it sucks to be in Wisconsin sometimes.

The only good news is that SF is coming to GB for Sunday's playoff game.

/Go Packers!

48 degrees F here.  I don't even have to worry about the windshield wiper fluid in my car freezing.  Had that problem in Montana.  Lost many windshield wiper fluid pumps and reservoirs from ice expansion back in the day.  Major pain in the ass to replace that shiat when it's -40F outside ;)

I remember the last time I took a holiday in Athens, Greece,

It snowed.

The only time in 50 years and it was when I went on holiday.

2014-01-01 07:11:00 AM
Not much going on here. Maybe I'll name this extreme weather pattern "normal."

I'll be fine, I'm in the 'meh' zone.  3-5 inches will only slow me down a little.

It's all a ploy from the French Toast Industrial Complex. Right now Aunt Jemima and Mrs. Butterworth are rolling around in a huge pile of money laughing at all of us.

SpinStopper: SNOWSTORM!!!?!!!  In HOUSTON??!!!???!!!  You make me laugh!!!

I saw snow (like a 1/4", maybe) there once when I was in college. Scariest thing I ever saw -- Gulf Coast Texans trying to drive in snow.

2014-01-01 07:33:11 AM
It's overcast here with a 90% chance of drunk.

2014-01-01 07:39:24 AM
6C/43F, overcast, snow only on the mountaintops.

At about the same latitude as Yellowknife, where the temperature is now -42C/-44F.

2014-01-01 07:47:25 AM
Here in Connecticut the local weather forecasters have initiated yet another stampede for bread and milk.

2014-01-01 07:56:04 AM
Has anyone pointed out that these OFFICIAL winter storm discussions are pretty idiotic given the huge size of the US and the wide variety of weather conditions throughout it at any given time?

I'm in Scottsbluff, NE. About 20 miles East of the Wyoming border in the panhandle of NE... Literally the middle of nowhere.

It's about 30 degrees and snowing here, but we're not getting much accumulation.

When did they start naming snowstorms?

2014-01-01 08:18:45 AM
I just hope there is enough panic to sell all 5k worth of cake I delivered yesterday on Long Island.

That Not So Fresh Feeling: People get weather on the Weather Channel? I thought it was a "reality" channel that sometimes marches Jim Cantore into hurricanes.

/NWS FTW

The Weather Chanel has become the MTV of weather.  Give me the drunken local guy any time.

2014-01-01 08:36:33 AM
Two days ago they said we were supposed to get 16-25 inches of snow from this.  Now they're saying 1-3.

Just a little off.

/Naming winter storms FTL

2014-01-01 08:49:54 AM
I keep hearing about a "plowable" snowfall. Apparently measurement has become too confusing for the masses.

2014-01-01 09:15:29 AM
Southern Indiana here. Woke up to mild frost on my car window with a little fog. High of 46 today.

I'm bracing for the worst.

2014-01-01 09:30:48 AM
Didnt a new really bad looking Hercules movie just come out? For shame weather channel for shame...

/7-11 inches here
//That's right

2014-01-01 09:31:54 AM
I don't even care anymore.

If they say to expect a dusting of snow we got 4", if they call for 6" we get nothing...

I do wish we would get a nice 12"+ snow fall this year cause its been several years since the last one and its so much fun to watch everyone loose their god damn minds when anything more than a couple inches falls on the ground.

2014-01-01 09:34:33 AM
DIA: Cold and snowing. Sigh.

2014-01-01 09:48:14 AM
just checking in to make sure that it's unanimous that naming snow storms is farking idiotic...

here in the Boston area, we're going to get 6-10", which really isn't that big of a deal (especially over almost two days)

but, I am glad that I work from home...

2014-01-01 09:58:07 AM

2wolves: The infamous "Line of Snow" returns to the DC metro area.  Two miles to one side for 6" to 8" and two miles to the other side just rain and depression.

Fredericksburg, VA is right on that line. If the snow comes from the west, the mountains block it. If it comes from the south, we are in trouble.

2014-01-01 10:01:05 AM
Storm? I just survived the worst of the recent ice storm in Michigan,no power for six days, down to 34 degrees indoors.

Tell the storm to stay off my lawn.

2014-01-01 10:13:04 AM
It'll make me have to take my car instead of my motorcycle to work for a couple of nights, but that's it.

2014-01-01 10:24:26 AM
Mrs. Knuckler and I traveled with our daughter from southeast PA to central NH the day after Christmas. Small cabin with only a wood stove for heat. We were originally going to head home today, but decided the other day to stay until Friday... before we knew about the storm. Looks like we're due for about a foot of snow here (snow all day Thursday). We'll probably leave on Saturday now.

Overnight low of zero Farenheit tonight.
High tomorrow of 7, overnight low of -2.
High on Friday of 2, overnight low of -14

It'll be about zero when we leave on Saturday morning.

STOP. FARKING. NAMING. SNOWSTORMS. Jesus, you attention whores at TWC. It's borderline retarded, but that might be insulting retards.

Driving home thursday and friday from miami to cleveland, stopping in knoxville thursday night. It doesn't look like the storm should be a concern other than coming home to cold ass temps and a foot of snow on the ground after two weeks camping in paradise.

2014-01-01 11:28:23 AM
40 degrees F and partly cloudy.  Woke up to see four deer grazing in my backyard this morning.  Going for a hike later today.

Winter storms only get mentioned when it happens to helpless dickless dumb as frog Yankee bastards jammed cheek-to-jowl into Obama-cities.

So little mention on the news, it barely registered on the Nintendo addled brainpans of America's elites ..

Lol, thats cute.   You guys are letting them name your winter storms like they're as bad as hurricanes or something.

When you lose power for 3 weeks and you're 300 miles from the eye of a hurricane, like we did in '92 with Andrew, then we'll talk about your little snow blowers getting a name.  Till then, kthxbye.

Oh look,  it's the "weather" channel. Celebrity "news", weight loss schemes, and every other kind of idiotic crap any pop culture lover could want.

I am really not sure why the name has the word "weather" in it, but then I have the same confusion with Fox News.
