Who the fark cares?

I have A&M over Duke as my 35 in the ESPN Confidence poll.

But I won't be too sad if the ACC beats down the Big12.

C'mon man.  Lots of teams have a longer trip than you, Arizona.  Your own opponent had a 50% longer trip.  16 hours on the bus ain't bad.

My nephew is a junior in high school in northern Arizona. He is planning to apply to this school on a music scholarship, as a trombone player. This may influence his decision. I'll be sure to bring it to his attention. Thanks, Subby.

That first thirty minutes has gone a long way towards erasing from my mind the nightmare that was the Rice-Miss. St. game. I love this stat about Duke's football team outscoring their basketball team for first half points.

Good thing the I-Bowl didn't take the Warhawks.

Eh, part of the reason schools claim they're losing so much on some of these bowl trips is because they fly the damn marching band out and put them up for several days, too. It's expensive enough getting the half-million people in support of the football team; then the other half-million in the marching band? It gets pricey. So just rent some locals.

I would be more outraged if it wasn't a trip to Shreveport that the band missed out on.

And speaking of the A&M game, what is up with the dude on the Aggie sideline with the blond 'frohawk?

I'm genuinely surprised there's no bowl thread.

Tomorrow, although this Duke/A&M game is very entertaining.

Entertaining shootout aside, Duke sucks.

Duke sucking aside, F*ck the SEC.

2013-12-31 11:43:23 PM
....and they suck some more. Cue endless nauseating 24/7 Johnny Manziel coverage in 3, 2, 1...

I blame the field goal from inside the 1-yard line to end the 1st half. Everything going for them, no reason to think they couldn't put it in. Downhill from there.

Yeah, my hind has sight.

Holy balls those refs were horrendous.  Is this the AAC's way of getting back at the ACC for taking Miami, BC, Pitt, Syracuse, VT, Louisville and Notre Dame?

Stupid Manziel and aTm.  Ugh.  Dammit.  I was really hoping Duke would pull that out just to shut down the hype about Johnny Football.

I cannot wait for the Manziel era to begin in Minnesota.

There hasn't been for any bowls and I'm sure there were last year, this game needed one badly cause of the comeback.

Well he was fine, even if they lost he would still have gotten praise, AtMs defense was simply horrendous in the first half.

The helmet of the running back for Duke was about 3 feet past the goal line at the end of the first half. The pass interference call that was so obvious my wife noticed it.

Duke got boned

Multiple times.  Those refs were atrocious.

The ball never crossed the goal line, doesn't matter where his helmet was.

And there were quite a few missed calls against AtM in the first half too but those don't stand out to fans on the other side. There were a few ticky tack PI calls at the end that will rarely get called in any game.

The ball did cross. On one of the replays, you can see a tiny segment of the ball past the goal line right before his knees touch the ground. I watched the play several times. And calling that PI ticky tack at the end is ridiculous. It was more obvious than 90% of the PI calls Ive seen.

No it didn't the ball was behind the line and just his head was over and PI will never be called on bang bang plays in the 4th since its so high paced and coaches are fine with that.

What I am talking about are the numerous holds Duke's O-line got away with and the intentional grounding Duke kept getting away with. In the vicinity my ass, the WR was 15 yards downfield and no where near the ball.

The refs were bad but for both sides, you only see it for your side though, its understandable.

Only see it for my side? I despise Duke. Your excuse making is ridiculous, but I guess if its the SEC they can do no wrong in your eyes. It's like trying to have a discussion with a busted septic tank, no matter what you say, and no matter how right you are, it just stays dug in and spews shiat everywhere.
