The problem is splitting the territory into arbitrary colonies that put various tribes and religious sects who have been at war for centuries under the same roof.  Giving each sect/tribe its own country is a better alternative.

Until Shiastan decides that Kurdland has gotten too big for its britches and gasses them. Then we have to intervene again.

Maybe.  Maybe not.  Besides, wars between different countries tend to be easier to resolve than civil wars.  The current sectarian conflict in Iraq certainly doesn't seem to have any solution.

Well, that decade-long war was certainly worth it.  Thanks again, Mr. Bush.

The problem with that is that because of the previous divisions, now the warring groups each have claims to terirtory that would be in a rival's posession.

- What's this?
- That's the horse.
- "Z-V-B-X-R-P-L" I had that same horse when I had my eyes examined.

- Get your ice cream! Tootsie-fruitsie ice cream!

- That's not the real name of the horse. That's the name in code.
- Look in your codebook.
- I haven't got any codebook.
- Well, just by accident, I think I've got one right here. Here you are.

- Get your ice cream! Tootsie-fruitsie ice cream!

- "Z-V-B-X-R-P-L, page..?"
- Hey, ice cream man, I can't make head or tail out of this.
- That's all right. Look in the master codebook.
- That will tell you where to look.
- Master code? I haven't got any master codebook.
- You don't got a master codebook?

- Get your ice cream! Tootsie-fruitsie ice cream!

- Do you know where I can get one?
- Well, just by accident, I think I've got one right here. There you are.
- A lot of quick accidents around here for a quiet neighborhood.

- Master code, master code, plain code.
- "Z-V-B-X-R-P-L" The letter Z stands for J unless the horse is a filly.
- Is the horse a filly?
- I don't know. Look in your breeder's guide.

- Get your ice cream! Tootsie-fruitsie ice cream!

- What do you mean? I haven't got any breeder's guide.
- You haven't got a breeder's guide?
- Not so loud.
- I don't want it to get around that I haven't got a breeder's guide.
- Even my best friends don't know I haven't got a breeder's guide.
- Well, boss, I feel pretty sorry for you.
- Walking around without a breeder's guide.
- Why, you're just throwing your money away.
- Buying those other books without a breeder's guide.

- Where can I get one? As though I didn't know.
- One is no good. You got to have the whole set!

- Get your ice cream! Tootsie-fruitsie ice cream!

1) The Christians won't be flying our planes into buildings.
2) Liberals will blame republicans when islam takes its next violent action.

It's been cracking since Romney lost, Mormons are back to being suspect, and the US Bishops are scrambling since Pope Francis went all "actual Catholic doctrine" on them.  But there's still enough common ground for them to push for the 2014 mid-term elections.

like hell. not according to this guy.

PRES. GEORGE W. BUSH: There was a time when many said that the cultures of Japan and Germany were incapable of sustaining democratic values. Well, they were wrong. Some say the same of Iraq today. They are mistaken. (Applause) The nation of Iraq, with its proud heritage, abundant resources and skilled and educated people, is fully capable of moving toward democracy and living in freedom. (Applause)

to his credit he did say they were "capable" not they would move to democracy. he also had a "Mission Accomplished" banner. oh wait, over zealous staffer.

Bush, Cheney, Brehmer, Rummy, Wolfowitz and all the other sorry ass idiots who pushed this and farked it up so badly can rot in hell.

So all you're really saying is that the different factions are going to fight each other no matter what.  In that case, it doesn't really matter what anyone does, does it?

You seem to have this whole world all figured out, don't you? Are you unaware of the actual, living, currently active, self-identified christian terrorist are in America, right now? The Ku Klux Klan is a self proclaimed Christian organization, and considers Jesus Christ to be the first Klansman. They've identified as Christian throughout their existence as fighting for Christ and the institution of a Christian theocracy. As long as it's Protestant.
The Klan claims to be Christian, and has done horrible things in Christ's name. Sense you identify as a christian, like the KKK does, should I assume that you are just as bad as the Klansmen? Or would that be silly of me, to take the worst actions committed by a few thousand idiots who claim to be apart a religion, and assume the worse of the hundreds of millions of other practitioners?
