I found a Japanese MSM site that carried something about it.  There was steam.  TEPCO does not in fact "admit" that the steam means that the world is ending, just that there's steam. There was steam in July too, and the world didn't end.  On the other hand, TEPCO's willingness and ability to tell the truth isn't much above the whackadoo websites reporting this stuff, so there's that to be concerned about.

Not really. Can you name a single time these hack websites actually beat MSM to an actual catastrophic event, conspiracy etc? Their whole gimmick is to pump out as much bullshiat as possible then when an event happens they dig in their archive of shiat and pull out something that resembles it the most then go on to try to say how they were right 5 years earlier and to always trust them!!

tommyl66: Of course you tape off your doors and windows, people should be doing that as a cost-saving measure anyways. But you DO NOT tape over your electric outlets, that is literally the worst thing you can do. You need to be able to breathe clean air, and the air coming out of your electric outlets is the cleanest possible air you can get. The electricity in the outlet kills micro-organisms and reverses the polarity of the radiated particulates, leaving only pure air to filter out into your home

DO NOT listen to this tool of Monsanto and Big Vaxx!!!!! The only way to ionize your air is to burn BEESWAX candles. You can't use PARAFIN candles because they're made from oil and the TOXINS from the refinery will interact with the radioactive particles. You have to COVER your windows with aluminum foil to make the radiation bounce off. The pure smoke from the beeswax will ionize the air and also help prevent measles.

The company believes the steam is coming from the fifth floor of the building.

However it does not know the cause of the steam. Lethal levels of radiation and the physical damage to the structure have so far made entry and inspection impossible.

While I do like the last one, none of those words fully emphasize the gravity of taking false information, and spreading it through what many people consider to be reputable distributors of information.  (That sounds like I've just defined propaganda, but that's not it either).

Look, if you're going to be a pedant, be a pedant all the way. Green-lighted, with the hyphen. Except that's not accurate, because now it's hyphenated, 'lit' is the correct conjugation.

And you see, that's why greenlit works, because it's a compound slang word that's dropped the hyphen, yet the memories of the original separation between the words still exist. Greenlit is an acceptable spelling in quite a few dictionaries.

As one of Fark's most vocal and hyperbolic critics of Fukushima and Tepco, please allow me to add my dissenting voice to the din regarding this article.

It is utter bullshiat.  Steam rises from the spent fuel pool every time it rains over Fukushima.  Been happening ever since building three blew its top in 2011.  Cold rainwater hits hot spent fuel pool.  Big clouds of steam.  Meteorology, not rocket science.  Look at the weather reports for the dates cited.

There's more than enough wrong with this situation- we don't need to be spreading disinformation to try to make it worse.

Well when one of the recommended steps to preventing radiation poisoning is is taping off your windows, doors and electrical outlets...yeah

I'm pretty sure that, at least, is reasonable.  You're trying to prevent yourself from being in contact with radioactive particulate matter then you'd want to prevent particulate matter from getting in.  *shrug* I'm completely willing to admit ignorance on the subject, but it at least sounds reasonable.

Of course you tape off your doors and windows, people should be doing that as a cost-saving measure anyways. But you DO NOT tape over your electric outlets, that is literally the worst thing you can do. A) ...Electric outlets give you air?

B) I'm more worried that they're advising this when there's no actual way America could be feeling the effects. We didn't feel anything even when Fukashima actually blew.
