occupycorporatism.com. Yeah, color me skeptical as to the veracity of this report. Google search reveals this report being passed around right and left wing conspiracy sites, but no others. I'm gonna wait for ABC or CNN or the US Government to sound alarms before taking this too seriously.

Oh, good.  More scaremongering, that's what the public needs.  Pray on the fear ignorance and of the public.  Christ.  Enough already!

Anyone interested in just how radiation has affected the region, all the way out to the west coast of the Americas can read this:
http://deepseanews.com/2013/11/true-facts-about-ocean-radiation-and- th e-fukushima-disaster/

It's an easy read, and it's, you know, based on science, not "not-science".  Seriously, so many articles these days spreading fear with no basis in reality.  The English language needs a word for "not based on fact or reality".  But instead "twerk" gets added to the OED.

sigh.

Of course you tape off your doors and windows, people should be doing that as a cost-saving measure anyways. But you DO NOT tape over your electric outlets, that is literally the worst thing you can do. You need to be able to breathe clean air, and the air coming out of your electric outlets is the cleanest possible air you can get. The electricity in the outlet kills micro-organisms and reverses the polarity of the radiated particulates, leaving only pure air to filter out into your home.

Cover nose and mouth with plastic. Tape down tightly. There. Now you're safe from the radiation.

Why not cast this potential loss as a win?  I'm going to tape some big bedsheets between two trees to catch the radioactive particles and funnel them down into . . . my VERY OWN NUCLEAR REACTOR!

You're the man I'm sticking it to, power company.

I see a lot of people here questioning the legitimacy of the report.  For your information, the author was given the green light by her editor (evidently) to type multiple words in all caps.  If it's not true, you can't do that on the internet.  This is how we know that the author is serious and what they say is scary.  If you choose to ignore the caps, consequences will never be the same.

No
Studies show that air is ionized and safe to breathe.
Same studies show that nuclear power is safe, clean, and safe.

And for minimum wage too!  FTA- "It's also how Japan finds people willing to accept minimum wage for one of the most undesirable jobs in the industrialized world: working on the $35 billion, taxpayer-funded effort to clean up radioactive fallout across an area of northern Japan larger than Hong Kong."

While I do like the last one, none of those words fully emphasize the gravity of taking false information, and spreading it through what many people consider to be reputable distributors of information.  (That sounds like I've just defined propaganda, but that's not it either).

Scary thing is its mostly adults who spread it. This stupid story was shared on my Facebook wall twice by people in their 30s. I had to debunk it both times. Its amazing how the 3000 flags that point out this story is bullshiat is missed by so many people and just carelessly shared across the net.

I found a Japanese MSM site that carried something about it.  There was steam.  TEPCO does not in fact "admit" that the steam means that the world is ending, just that there's steam. There was steam in July too, and the world didn't end.  On the other hand, TEPCO's willingness and ability to tell the truth isn't much above the whackadoo websites reporting this stuff, so there's that to be concerned about.

If you stick paper clips in the each outlet, that will attenuate the radiation down to safe levels.
