Well taking pot to an airport would mean you are taking it to another state which would be illegal since you are taking it across state lines.

WTF Indeed: Well taking pot to an airport would mean you are taking it to another state which would be illegal since you are taking it across state lines.

Well, in the rare cases of flights that stay within the state that wouldn't be the case, or when people were just dropping other people off or picking them up, but if you never leave the curb or car when you're dropping off or picking up the chances of being caught seem pretty low.

There are likely to be some growing pains for the first year or so around areas that are under state and federal jurisdiction.

"...or grow marijuana in this airport..."

Some idiot somewhere is the reason they had to add that bit about not planting weed inside the airport. I can already hear the guy complaining to the NSA, "Wait, it said I can't POSSESS it and it said I can't SMOKE it, but it doesn't say anything about me not being able to cultivate it in the planters at my discretion, officers..."

Protip:  Just don't bring your weed to a farking airport.  They won't let you take your freaking water bottle on and your dumb ass things you can bring your 4 foot bong?

That's a Yanamano ancestral rattle from Brazil. It's carved from deer bone, they only make one every seven years, it's really rare.

I'm not even committed to a position on this argument, but you're making a invalid assumption.

People pick-up/drop-off passengers and fly in-state. There are also hundreds of people who work at that airport, and are within their rights to smoke based on the new law. None of those people are crossing state lines.

2013-12-31 08:57:42 AM
In a previous CO thread I suggested:

1. Set up pot shop in the Denver airport.
2. Watch people book their flights to connect at Denver.
3. Airport and pot shop owner PROFIT!

// will other airports start sniffer dogging all flights that arrive from CO?
All it takes is a few good Samaritans to dust a little finely ground pot on all the seats in the departure lounges. The sniffer dogs will alert on everybody that arrives from CO.

I guess they are trying to disallow this. Even if they forbid pot shops at the airport I'm sure some entrepreneur would have set of a shuttle bus service to the nearest pot shop and it looks like they don't want that either.

If you were flying from Denver to Oregon I guess they would let you proceed or Uraguay

Why, they're practically vitamins.

Lol. I've taken small amounts of pot through DIA at least 150 times.

Also, their policy has always been "zero tolerance", but it sounds like they increased the fine.

I like a zero tolerance policy that doesn't equate to an automatic arrest.

there are some who believe in a johnny-Appleseed approach to legalization where they plant seeds everywhere in the hopes it becomes wild and too difficult to get rid of when widespread...similar to boas in the everglades.

And just what the hell are they smoking?
That is the most stoned, disorganized, say nothing I have heard, much less read as a statement by, wait, that clown is paid by my taxes??? WTF

Just tell me what the "honorarium" to the TSA stooge is, and I'll pay for the "do nothing" option.

They forgot caning, evisceration, stoning (heh), waterboarding, flaying, and death by snu-snu.  Or, the officer can hold your snacks and sing some Jefferson Starship tunes while you smoke up.  Whatever he feels like, really.

Talk about something that doesn't work for everyone! I would not want to be high on a crowded airplane. Especially when you only get 7 peanuts as a snack.
