If she played Ingress she'd know how often GPS (that isn't locked onto roads by software) does this kind of thing.

GPS Drift.

We get taught this so that we don't accidentally accuse people with ankle monitors of violating the conditions of their release.  Not that anyone gives 1 f*ck if we do.

Oh take time to mentally be a child for a few minutes!
It was Santa Clause getting help from a cat because his reindeer were on strike.

Yeah, odd ball weather conditions combined with reflections off buildings and movement can make for some strange GPS results, especially when you toss in some buggy GPS products, like my old untrustworthy Magellan handheld that was dropped in the water by a friend.  Damn thing would regularly output 0N 0W or 0N 180W when in NMEA mode, even in the best of conditions.  The Magellan unit would do the same thing, too.

People who put their cat outside at night in the suburbs or city are assholes.

Putting the cat out is acceptable in rural areas. Farmland. Where the cats are there to deal with mice and other rodents on your plot of land.

It is not acceptable in a place where your cat will crap in your neighbors' sandbox, or bother their kids and/or pets. It's not acceptable in a place where mean cat-haters who live three houses down can catch and harm your cat. It's not acceptable in a place where there is actual traffic.

If your dog-owning neighbors are expected to have their dog leashed or indoors at night, then you should be expected to have your cat indoors at night, too.

Reminds me of a story a college prof told me.

He said when the SR71 was on autopilot and flew to 0N 0W it would point the plane straight up. Fix: don't fly there.

He also said the first F16 to cross the equator on auto rolled 180 degrees.

/no idea if those are true

suki in Russian roughly translates into "biatches"
I wonder if that was intentional... discuss!
