If you have AdBlock or FlashBlock enabled you won't see it. The "Listen Live" button in the headline bar gets hidden. Just open them both for ktoo.org, click that button and select KRNN

I don't really have any Alaska clothes, living in Florida. I have some Buffalo clothes that would probably work but I couldn't go snowmobiling or anything really cold. Or I could buy some decent boots.

Life is such a challenge.

anybody got any recommendations on clearing one's Eustachian tubes when Afrin won't work?

Hold your nose and gently puff with your mouth closed. Then do that thing where you pull your mouth open so that part of your ear opens. Sort of a jaw down while inhaling through your nose.

Or take a sudafed, best medicine ever made for congestion but you have to sign your life away to get it now because of meth.

none of that is working.   been going on for three days. neti pot not working.  when I do this:  Hold your nose and gently puff with your mouth closed. Then do that thing where you pull your mouth open so that part of your ear opens. Sort of a jaw down while inhaling through your nose.

it just adds to the pressure.  I cannot get them to clear.

Now you're at 15, dial it back Admiral. Have a beer, relax, move to Colorado as of Jan1. Have a massage, get Zen.

I just keep "gulping air" like I would for altitude changes - it works for me. YMMV.

normally, yeah, just no relief for three days now.  I'm going to go sit in the steam room tomorrow for like three hours.

You've taken sudafed?

Get some imaging studies of your sinuses. Or.... well don't really depends on how uptight your doctor is. Sleep sitting up somewhat and use a humidifier. You obviously have the heat on (unfortunately it is God awful hot in Florida) and are drying your mucous membranes out. Get some nasal saline spray and go through a bottle of that every couple of days. It is cheap 2-3 bucks per bottle. Squeeze the mist up your nose, and then remove it from your nose before you let the pressure go so it doesn't suck up nose germs.

If you don't use up the bottle in 3 days toss it anyway so it does not become a vector. I had the sinus/congestion thing a few weeks ago and was miserable. It is almost always a virus. If it last more than 10 days or so see a doc as it might be a bacteria and need an antibiotic (those give you the shiats so don't rush to the doc).

Lots of humidity and decongestants (oral as opposed to spray decongestants seems to work better).

Hold a hot towel or heating pad on the side of your face for a while too. Last time I had that problem I had to fly cross country and the altitude changes were not fun. Now I know why little kids scream on descent.
