Not sexual enough?  Did they not pay enough attention to Crispin Glover's performance?

Not sexual enough...this was enough for me at 8 years old.

/would be very confused and would probably need therapy if i was Marty

I'll say it, I'd do Doc Brown.  You just know that guy has come up with some kinky inventions over the years.

Loved these movies. I did know about the factoid about different actresses for Marty's GF. They even had to reshoot the final scene of the 1st movie (for the starting scene of the 2nd movie) because new actress.

And then Telltale got a hold of the rights to make a sequel game. Which sucks, sadly. :( (As does most of Telltale's games of similar style, such as Sam & Max and Wallace & Gromit.)

They were aware that it was Mother-Son?

Was Marty supposed to go for it?

WHAT?!

Ye Blasphemer, I'll see ye walk the Plank of the Damned for besmirching the name of Telltale!

Seriously though, I liked the BttF games (they even had Fox in the last one as a cameo!), and the Sam'n'Max series rocks. :D

I'm surprised they didn't mention they had actually filmed a decent amount of the film with Eric Stoltz as Marty, then had to re-shoot all his scenes with Michael J. Fox.

I agree, but then again, I think it would have been a little too much like this role he had played the previous year:

KWess: They were aware that it was Mother-Son?

Nah, Columbia probably would have dropped the mother/son relationship completely. In the 80's, fantastical devices like time machines were only supposed to be used for one purpose: peeking into the girls' locker room.

"Great Scott, Marty! If you're caught looking in the girls' showers again, you'll be expelled! That's why I invented the time machine! Now you can go back to yesterday, peep all you want, and you'll have the perfect alibi because your past self will have been in class the entire time!"

"Wow Doc, that's really heavy!"

"Heavy, heavy.... You keep using that word. Are you a chubby-chaser, Marty?"

I'd kinda assume that that's something everyone already knows.  The footage must be staggeringly bad, as very little of it has been released.

Crispin pretty much talked himself out of the sequels by arguing that his character should not have been focused on material things after the timeline changed. So yes, that was a crazy move.

I knew seven of them. Was expecting to know more. Some good stuff there I wasn't aware of or had forgotten.

Now I want to go visit an alternate timeline just so I can see what it would have been like with Lithgow.

The monkey would have been awful, though.

2013-12-28 05:35:03 PM
How could they make this list and not include the part about Crispin Glover refusing to be in part 2, and suing for breach of character when they got a look-alike to play him with makeup that made him look almost exactly like Crispin Glover?

This post is so off the mark it's just funny to me, I'm fairly sure I've seen BTTF more times than any other movie because I always watch it when I catch it on TV.

I want to know what happened to Einstein. Was he killed by the Libyans? Left in the alternative timeline? Dropped off at the local Chinese restaurant? I have always wondered this.

The time machine was originally conceived as a refrigerator rather than a car.

From the people who brought you "Hot Tub Time Machine" comes their newest hit, "Frigidaire Time Machine"!

Theory: Einstein was dropped off with the truck Doc was using to transport the time machine before taking Marty home in the time machine.  Einstein stayed there, even with the timeline changing around him in BTTF2, before being picked up by Doc at the end of BTTF3.  To Einstein, would've been like a day of waiting at home, which isn't bad because Doc had contraptions to feed Einstein till he returned.

I like your theory, because it follows the rules as set by the movie, and conveniently cancels out any possibly of the "Marty II" theory that's been going around forever. I always thought it was stupid, anyway.

In BTTF part 3 they wanted St Ronnie (recently left office at time of filming) to play the part of 1885 mayor, and he wanted the part but they couodnt make the scheduling work.

He was asleep at home.  The Doc dropped him off when they dropped off Jennifer.

I thought they only filmed less than 20 mins of film on him, it was not that much according to reports since they knew Eric didn't fit the part.

Well that and the fact they only wanted to pay him shiatty like he made in the previous movie and then replaced him with a look alike without his ok.

He is crazy and has no concept on the nature of humans to be greedy but he was still a decent actor.

He waited for years until Marty returned. Well, he died of old age waiting, but he waited.
