1200 dollars for that shiat? That's farking high.

This travel package has existed for quite a long time.  The only difference was you had to get your pot separately.

With several companies offering marijuana tours of the state's high country, law enforcement and ski area operators worry tourists who don't understand the rules will be sparking up on the slopes

You don't smoke on the slopes, you moran.  You toke up on the lift.

Yeah. I'm guessing this will get nipped in the bud after the first stoned skier hits a tree and lawsuitilarity ensues.

I have to say, that if I were suddenly presented with the option of legal pot, going skiing wouldn't be the first thing on my to-do list.

No person I know has ever referred to a gondola as a "ganja-la." Did the writer interview high schoolers?

Never heard of that either and if you get caught smoking in the Gondola you lose your lift ticket.

Drunk Texans are by far the biggest liability on Colorado ski slopes. They've been running into trees, little kids, and each other for decades.

Ganja-la? The shangri-la for tokers? That kind of does describe Colorado, in my limited, one vacation experience this summer.

Tell you what, for $500 a night you can stay at my B,B&C (lunch and dinner extra, of cour$e), free shuttle to local attractions and an exclusive tour of our garden and tasting rooms than includes a gift bag of medibles. Concludes in the gift shop, of course (picture walls of souvenir glass pieces and  'Rocky Mountain High' emblazoned on everything less than $10). And I'll GIVE you lift tickets. All I need is a backer to fund the startup, I already know drivers, growers, bakers, an exec chef and I can run the B&B.

Now THAT'S a business model.

/$1200 for a ride in a limo with a wet bar...sheesh

a lift ticket is bretty much a contract with the resort stating in no simple terms that ITS YOUR ASS ON THE HILL.  they have no liability short of an equipment malfunction on a lift.  civil lawsuits on the other hand, different scenario.
i lived in keystone for 5 years and only ended up at 8 smoke shacks on the mountains.  I knew of 3 out of 7 that were on the front of the first mountain alone.  ski patrol knows their shiat.
also breck never should have taken down the beast shack 2 story that was the best in the state.
winterpark and mary jane have amazing smoke shacks as well.
just a few more days and i wont have to call my grower buddies when i run out.  er wait, ill still do that because its free.

Serious question, when pot goes legal and sellers can charge exorbitant prices in the shops, what do people expect low income potheads to do? Will it be okay for people to grow their own? If so, will they be able to share the costs and net harvests with others? When the "system" realizes that pot is a cheaper alternative to alcohol (which is regulated) will the "system" start seeking out marijuana fields with the same fervor that they have been seeking out stills for the last several decades?

2013-12-27 03:48:25 AM
Under the current laws, it's legal to give another adult marijuana as long as there's no direct payment for it. Vee and other operators charge people to rent the limo and driver, and hand them free pot, snacks and soda.

Unless there is a no purchase necessary option for the pot and snacks how can it be anything but a direct payment?

Any shops that chage unreasonable prices will go out of business...
Yes
Costs? Like sunlight and rain water? I am sure they could share the $0 costs... it's a WEED
Only if you are running a growing operation as a business. I can legally distill liquor at home if I choose to... when it gets above a certain threshhold though they expect a business license and a tax stamp. Same with any product (including tobacco).
