She is not really unemployed, she always has the option in the UK of working as a part time prostitute out of her rent free flat. Payday loans to people without jobs seems a little off but they will get their money.

2013-12-26 05:49:45 PM
Is she too big to fail?

2013-12-26 05:59:21 PM
Somehow I expected someone doing something this stupid to be American.  American and crying victim and begging for a bail-out.

This woman seems to simply be saying "I was stupid, I'm screwed" without asking for help.

She'll get the help anyway, someone will pay it off.  But she's not openly begging.

Marcus Aurelius: Is she too big to fail?

No, she's too stupid to be successful.

2013-12-26 06:42:22 PM
But she is worried she will be unable to buy basic necessities for her children and has blamed Wonga for getting her into 'one big, messy, circle'.

Yes.  It's all Wonga's fault.  They forced you to take out 8 different loans so you could buy an insane amount of gifts for your kids that you couldn't afford.

What also gets me is why this is news, even for something as idiotic as the Daily Mail.  "Here's a story about an idiot.  The end."

Is this where we come to hate on an imaginary mom the daily fail invented? Thanks now we get to feel superior about putting it all on credit cards with 18% interest?

\didnt buy any Christmas presents this year because I'm unemployed and refuse to go into debt over a holiday.

No, but it's where we feel superior to the stupid imaginary mom because we spent within our budget, even if our children didn't get their every wish for Christmas.

/this Christmas was pretty good
//the past few, however, have been lean if not anorexic
/// the kids survived, enjoyed the little they did get, and are better people for it
////it's been maybe 15 years since we put debt on the cards for Christmas presents

IDIOT borrowed money.
MORONS lent unemployed IDIOT money.

WHY dont we send them both to prison for a bit?
Seriously. All of them are criminally dumb and she is clearly a danger to her children.

Stories like this are what the Fail was made for. And since the Welfare Queen story got redlit as a repeat this one will do in its place.

It's all part of the big narrative of "The poors are that way because they're stupid.  So we shouldn't go out of our way to do anything to help them."

I am curious, do you have a citation of why we should be distrustful of the Daily Mail?

She's a victim of the rampant consumerism that defines the modern holiday season. It's off debtors prison for her.

2013-12-26 08:29:35 PM
Maybe her baby-daddies can help her pay off the loans.

I have to think stupidity played a role in this particular case.

So each child got a TV and a DVD player for Christmas?  What three year old needs a TV?

'They got loads of computer games for their Xbox, they got a new TV and DVD player each, new bikes and loads more.'

Yup. She's a stupid twat. No doubt about it.

Giving presents at christmas is a PRIVILEGE that must be EARNED. It is not a right.

Well I am guessing that most Daily Fail readers are thinking about doing something similar, so it's a PSA.

How are payday loans even legal? Granted, if you're dumb enough to take one out you deserve the shiat you get but...  Seriously...  There is nothing good that comes with them.. It's the racket of rackets.

2013-12-26 08:47:44 PM
This story seems a little light on facts since these places verify income and if you have none then you don't get the money.

How do you know she didn't have both kids with the same father?

*clicks on TFA*

Well whaddya know, she went back!

2013-12-26 08:49:37 PM
Is she running for the US Congress?

2013-12-26 08:50:14 PM
I know she isn't too bright, but I would think whatever the U.K.'s version of children's services is would see this story, then begin proceedings to take her kids away because she has shown to be an unfit mother who cannot make proper decisions for her children. And on top of that review all government assistance she is receiving.

2013-12-26 08:50:41 PM
She has a nicer TV than I do.

2013-12-26 08:51:50 PM
I thought they did more of the "Sending the bailiffs around to take your stuff" in England.  I know they did debtors prison, but someone realized that a person stuck in prison can't earn repayment.

I don't know what the black market daycare scene is like over there, but she could probably make an extra£150 a week watching after a kid or two. In Texas they'll actually certify individuals for after school care with a little training / examination in order to minimize the black market.

2013-12-26 08:52:00 PM
I assume she's just retarded.  I'm expecting a kid, and all the things I hated about parents I can now totally see myself doing.  Leaving any social gathering super early because kids, talking about my kid all the time, posting kid related Facebook posts....  But I really hope parentitis doesn't involve taking out payday loans to buy plastic shiat.

That was a nice touch on the part of the Daily Fail there.  Adding in the obviously multi-racial children to really hammer home the point that mom's a big slut.  Whoever concocted this story has a bright future.

2013-12-26 08:52:39 PM
And a mixed-race kid too. Perfect Daily Hate fodder.

I'm puzzled. Anyone in Britain would have known she would be portrayed as a hateful, feckless slut by the Mail yet she happily goes along with it and poses for photos. I can only assume they've paid her well or maybe even set up this entire scenario.

2013-12-26 08:53:33 PM
This woman is dumber than a box of rocks.

2013-12-26 08:53:37 PM
Who is the bigger dumbass? Her or the companies that loaned it to her knowing her situation?

2013-12-26 08:53:39 PM
Buy a length of rope and a step stool, dummy.

2013-12-26 08:53:47 PM
How does she get on the daily fail's radar to begin with? and then why agree to an interview and having your kid's pictures in the news? does she get paid? is the whole thing fake? so many questions

2013-12-26 08:54:10 PM
And the Union workhouses? Are they still in operation?

2013-12-26 08:54:36 PM
We did our christmas on Layaway.   I did put a purchase on my credit card (Secured, $200 limit): My $70 thinkgeek order of stocking stuffers / things I'd like.

/Things include: Death Star ice mold, 2x Lego mugs (1 for the boy), River Song journal for the gf, D20 ice mold for her also, Tetris heat-changing mug for Dad.  Free shipping.
//Do I win?

2013-12-26 08:54:45 PM
Somebody will probably bail her out an I will gag.

What they need to do is sell of some of those gifts.

2013-12-26 08:55:49 PM
Even worse than what this dumb woman did is the fact that there's an article about it and that I read it.

2013-12-26 08:56:36 PM
If they were dumb enough to loan someone 1700 who is unemployed they don't deserve their money back.

I'm fine with this.

Warlordtrooper: If they were dumb enough to loan someone 1700 who is unemployed they don't deserve their money back.

This. Because of my wifes cancer we had to do some major cutting back months ago, I was able to scrape by some cash for the holidays picking up stuff here and there when I could find it on sale (starting in august). I was fortunate to barely make it, but I managed somehow. At times I would have not even $20 a month to spend because every bill I have is just eating my ass up. But I refuse to take a loan, they are nothing more then sharks willing to murder my credit for easy gain.

/kids were happy, they understand until mommy works again daddy's sorry ass just doesn't bring in enough cash

Why should she have to lie on her back.  It's the UK.  Can't she just pimp out the children?

Now Joey, you got the Tonka truck so your sister Suzie has to take it up the butt!

OMG how did you get that?  I wanted to buy it for a friend and it's been sold out for weeks.  D20 ice mold is like the Elmo doll for adult(ish) gifts.  Good job man.

Granted that the daily mail is not on my reading list in the morning, but they have an extraordinary amount of bs stories as fark can attest to.

Has she given any thought to doubling down on her stupidity?  Find another 16 Wongos, pay the first 8 off and spend the second 8 loans like a drunken sailor.  Rinse, spin and repeat.
