I can't wait when this infatuation with Brooklyn goes away for good and some other place becomes the country's new epicenter for "cool." I hope it's someplace like Tulsa or Orlando.

Every time I see a byline for a writer that says "Brooklyn", instead of just "New York":

What happened to the Nets?  Two things.

1)  Some of the guys the Nets lost were underrated.  You need a shutdown defender sort, and Gerald Wallace was a very good one who can rebound and shoot some as well.  Losing him was actually a big blow.  Reggie Evans, who provides good tenacity in the paint, gets less playing time now.  Replacing them with ancient guys like Pierce and Garnett hurts.  They're really, really old.

2)  Maybe you should hire a guy who has coached on some level, ever, to coach.  Just a thought.

The whole team is put together solely for publicity.  Bring in the biggest names you can bring in, and bring in the biggest name you can to coach as well.

Seattle or Portland, take your pick.

So, correct me if I'm wrong, but the 1rst rounders they traded to Boston are not lottery-protected, right?

What's funny is, they've had the shining example of why that doesn't work right across the river for years and STILL didn't pick on that fact.

I got drafter to the Nets in my NBA 2k14 MyPlayer.

We are 0-7, so I am getting a kick...

Hawks have right to swap on 2014 and 2015, Celtics have right to swap in 2017 and straight up own the 2016 and 2018 picks. Celtics also get the 2014 pick after the Hawks swap.

And nothing is lotto protected, I should add.

As a Hawks fan, I can hardly wait for the lottery, as the odds of the Nets getting the 1st pick are astronomical.

/25 percent.

Since we have their #1 pick next year I would rather the other New York team suck even more.

/Go Nuggets.

You stop that right now. The last thing I want are more people like this moving where I live:

Well, I guess there are already some, but they all live in Brookside.

We already have a weirdo on a bike, and he's all we have room for:

It will just be a different part of NYC that will be considered "cool".  Expect Queens to be the happening place to be in 15 years.

That or it will be some city like Austin.

As someone whose image of Brooklyn is Gravesend and not, say, modern-day Williamsburg (though I'm at least a bit familiar with modern-day Williamsburg), the popular perception of Brooklyn is hilarious to me.
