Subs was evidently confused by a simple English sentence.  Dependent clauses must be the work of the debil in his household

I like the Makes-no-sense style of headline but it works better with slang terms than with the names of horses which are silly everywhere.

JasonOfOrillia: the names of horses which are silly everywhere.

Yup.  Whenever I go to bar trivia night, and they ask a question about what three weird things have in common, I always guess "racehorse names" if I can't think of anything.

Thanks to dick Francis, this makes sense to my American brain

I think they are going to set the king loos in a field so that people can chase him down and use him for boxing practice.

Count me in as someone who pegged it as horse racing

If you didn't realize it was horse racing, you are subby.  My dog realized it was horse racing, and he's been dead for 4 years.

You know what else doesn't make no sense to Americans? Why the fark non-Americans give a shiat what we watch or care about, sportswise. Geezus, get over it. We like American football, basketball, and have a fading interest in baseball, otherwise we mostly don't care. So what? Get over it.

//Dear planet, like what you want and stop caring what we like or don't.

How did Hoof Hearted and Norfolk Enchants do?

No horse-racing headlines make sense ever.

But I'm always reminded of the Dr. Katz (I think) bit about the Off Track Betting race.

I'm an American, and this made perfect sense.  Some underdog horses will challenge the favorite horse at a specific horse race at a specific track on the day after Christmas.

I'll start giving a crap about your "World Champion" Baltimore 49ers and your "World Champion" New York Red Sox around the same time I start giving a shiat about subbies dumb horse racing garbage.

Those horses probably didn't take as many performance-enhancing drugs as Sammy McGwire or Marion Armstrong.

You know what else doesn't make no sense to non-Americans?

Playing sports where skill takes a back seat to physique.
