I am pretty sure that I wouldn't slow down if I saw Joan Rivers crossing the street in front of me.

I know there's a "as opposed to Joan Rivers, who's been more touched up by a knife than. . ." joke in there, and I keep wanting to involve Rosie O'Donnell, but I just can't get a good one going.

Can a more comedic Farker than I help me out?

As opposed to Joan Rivers, who hasn't been touched in decades.

Hero tag is out getting its asshole bleached.

A man would rather kill himself than touch Joan Rivers...ask her husband.

Shouldn't Joan Rivers be dead by now?

Joan Rivers:

stopped reading there

Just step away, Joan.  You're not going to come away from this with your dignity.

Joan Rivers has had more time under the knife than pot roasts at Rosie O'Donnell's /Dom DeLuise's / Brando's house?
Joan Rivers has seen more knife work than the butter dish at Paula Dean's house?

2013-12-26 05:17:45 AM
someone fix this joke for me.

Joan Rivers has had so much plastic surgery ..... something about sorting the plastics for recycling.

2013-12-26 05:19:57 AM
Joan Rivers is the entertainment industry's equivalent of a threadshiatter. It's not like she can contribute anything of her own.

2013-12-26 05:21:43 AM
Remember when Joan Rivers was so in demand that the Fox Network debuted with her as its signature star?

Yeah.  Neither does anyone else...

Joan Rivers has had so much plastic surgery, they'll have to bury her in a recycling bin?

Seems like the pot calling the snowman black.

Joan Rivers looks like she's had plastic explosives surgery.

She's faced the knife so many times that technically she's qualified in three bloodsports.

Her body image is illegal in 53 countries.

Jennifer Lawrence has been touched up, Joan Rivers has been touched down.

Yeah, she's not tricking anyone into thinking her way is the way to go. I know Joan feels like surgery, a barrel full of makeup and an airbrushing team that runs around spraying stuff into the eyes of anyone who tries to look at her directly without a vaseline smeared lens between them and an agreement to only appear in magazines if they photograph a drag queen dressed up as her and pass him off AS her is the only way she can present herself to the world, but nope. Whatever would have happened to Joan without surgery it can't be worse than what actually happened. Jennifer is fine, and if it makes Joan feel bad about her plastic addiction, then maybe it's time for her to stop.

Outspoken celebrity upset that outspoken celebrity is outspoken. Alert the press.

Her skin's been pulled so tight, when she farts every dog in the San Fernando Valley comes running.

/Oh, grow up!

I guess teh funny is the last thing you lose before you finally die.  Joan lost her mind, her looks, and any shred of decency she may have had decades ago.

it's a sad thing to be so bitter when you're so close to the end.

Gilbert Gottfried's (very NSFW) roast of Joan Rivers was probably the greatest thing he's ever done.

Can I dislike them both in this fight? Joan Rivers has been worthless for decades. Jennifer Lawrence knows her audience and is pandering. Rivers has a valid point that Lawrence seems to only care about body image issues when she has something to promote. But being right about that doesn't mean she isn't a mean spirited harpy. If Joan Rivers disappeared tomorrow, the world would be a slightly nicer place. If Jennifer Lawrence wants to be taken serious as a body image advocate, she'll give up the designer dresses, army of makeup artists, and hair stylists. Until then, she's a part of the problem she rails against.

I dislike Joan Rivers as much as any human being, but Jennifer Lawrence isn't going to sleep with you guys.  Rivers isn't being a hypocrite, she's never claimed to be anything else.  Any actress showing up on magazine covers calling out air brushing and body image issues is laughable.

It's certainly easier to comment on it when you have the whole world's attention. So she uses some of her very limited time in the spotlight to talk about it and that is the problem?

She looks like a normal young woman, and the problem isn't hair and makeup or nice clothes it's the very real health and mental problems that come with eating disorders.

Hollywood is crawling with bags of antlers portraying themselves as the beauty ideal. Not only is it bad for girls to emulate it but also because... YUCK! IT'S FARKING GROSS AND I'M TIRED OF SEEING IT!

Real women do not look like drag queens.

I was wondering if he was arguing that anyone that wear makeup can't complain when some magazine uses Photoshop to change the shape of their head or other body parts.

Joan Rivers?  She's got so much botox in her, she's a super-fund site.  She's so full of botox, North Korea wants her for their WMD program.

Joan Rivers is a bitter old bag in the same mold as Anna Wintour.  She doesn't give a rat's rear-end what harm she does with her vile, sociopathic blather.

/not white-knighting Lawrence.   This is pity for the low-self esteem women who think Rivers' and Wintour's opinions on feminine beauty are anything other than spite-filled malice for healthy, beautiful women.

EbolaNYC:She looks like a normal young woman

That is the point, no she doesn't. She looks like someone with access to the best fitness, hair and make up people in the world. That is how she makes money so no one has a problem with it, but don't disparage it while getting a thousand dollar haircut.

Both sides think they are helping. Anyone that gives either of them any credence, has bad parents. They are actors, nothing more.

That has nothing at all to do with the topic at hand.  Jennifer Lawrence was complaining about how much they altered her pictures on magazine covers.

Joan was actually surprisingly good in her appearance on Louie, so I can't really hate on her too much.

Scientists are using atom smashers to detect particles the same size as peoples' interest in what Joan Rivers thinks on any given subject.

JL is super-farkable and sexy and cool and is the flavor of the day oozing out of the star maker machinery behind the popular song. Doop-she-doop dooooo.

Saw her on a talk show a few months ago, and I thought it was a CGI character.

All she did was say that she doesn't starve herself for a movie role. That doesn't mean she has to completely let herself go in order to not be called a hypocrite.
