I did not do the reading of this but just wished for suggesting that now we are just having the troll of we because there should never be the three Opposing Views threads in the one day and something is telling me that this is the mentally challenged story.

The guy is offended because he didn't have the medical exemption note that he's supposed to carry with him.

Note to humanity: If you are doing something which would otherwise be illegal for everyone else, carry all appropriate documentation as to why you are a special snowflake.

/Where you carry it is between you and the officer who has to fish it out of your pants for you

Simonar lost his arms after he was electrocuted in a boating accident in 1985

And he's now known to his friends in the water-skiing community as Skip.

This guy is a little biatch. I have a friend who was born without arms before this guy lost his. He's been driving normal cars that aren't modified for his disability and he fastens his seat belt just fine. No apology deserved.

Of course since a medical exemption letter would be the only way Officer Meoff could verify that the driver had no arms.

Why don't I just electroshock treatment all my memory of what constitutes a webpage that isn't a shiathole to visit and be done with it. WTF is up? Should I just go directly to opposing views and see if they link back to Fark?

Opposing Views does not (yet) have a paywall. You either put up with these "free" OV articles, or biatch and moan about links going to sites that ask you to sign up and pay up. Advertising does not get the revenue anymore.

For most news sites, the free ride is over. Too bad, because since everyone cannot afford to register on every site with news, your sources are diminished.

Agreed. We don't need armed cops ticketing for traffic violations. Use them for keeping track of released sex offenders and violent criminals. Common sense and logic go hand in hand.

Put yourself in a separate insurance pool and do whatever you want.

Short of drinking and driving of course, which iirc you also defend.

how do u loose both arms in an electrical accident on a boat?  the current would have entered one arm and exited the other, so
how come his heart didn't get fried, too?  was he lucky?

No speed limits then?

How about lights, freeway lane rules (or regular streets for that matter), weight limits for taking trucks on various roads, jake braking in your residential streets etc?

Should we register our vehicles and should they pass environmental emmission regs?

Dui legal up until you kill a kid when you go the wrong way at fifty through a school zone?

Everyone has their pet peeve driving regulation they dislike, but most people, believe it or not, support a great deal of driving regs. Meanwhile, the cops enforcing them are just killing time waiting for the calls they joined up to actually enforce.

Do those cars that automatically buckle you up by sliding the strap overhead still exist? Always thought it was an annoying feature but it would be neato for this guy.

"Simonar lost his arms after he was electrocuted in a boating accident in 1985"

Full Definition of ELECTROCUTE

1:  to execute (a criminal) by electricity

2:  to kill by electric shock

OOBE Juan Kenobi: Use them for keeping track of released sex offenders and violent criminals.

fark that, too.

Cops should be present where people are. Visible and ready to respond when called. They should only be enforcing immediate threats: dangerous driving, active crimes, poor folk being happy; y'know threats to 'Merrica!

True... We don't want to turn into a third world country like Armenia. I think speed limits are a joke. No one follows them - not even the cops enforcing them. The Po Po's aren't the knights in shining armor they are often made out to be, especially if they can't follow basic traffic laws like the rest of us.

Look: the fact of the matter is, there is too much corruption in our government. Dealing with our government is almost as pleasant as paying down on an adjustable rate mortgage. I've got to hand it to you though, you've raised some genuine concerns. High five.

Don't forget that he also miss the point that the armless man complaint was against the cop comment and not about the fine given. The cop is a complete moron, that no amount of regulatory exemption displayed would save from being a powertripping waste of oxygen.
