The owner of Opposing Views?  I agree.

After looking at his profile, I think his next big arrest is going to be cardiac arrest.

24 hours of music certainly warrants a lawsuit.

Too many right-wing racists in Maricopa County keep voting him back into office, apparently. "Gee, the same technique we used to break down prisoners at Gitmo? Sounds like a great idea here! Let's roll with it!"

If any of the music contains Paul McCartney's song, I think it's justified.

There's an easy solution.... don't be a repeat offender.  You can listen to whatever you want to in your own home when you're not a criminal.  (except for HOA's I guess... but F HOA's)

One of the great mysteries of life is why so many people will put up with one major farking douchebag who basically should be strung up by the neck for all to see perish, but no one will organize to take the farking out.
However, you get a man who preaches tolerance and unity and he is killed in a NY second.

What a considerate sheriff they have.

Once you're arrested once...for ANYHING (unpaid ticket, whatever) do you have any idea how easy it is to get arrested again? Doing what other normal people do?

It is extremely easy. Some don't deserve it. Some do. They're still living things. Don't be a dick.

Ronald Reagan's sidekick used good 'ol rock and or roll to get his buddy out of the house.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Operation_Nifty_Package
Operation Nifty Package was a United States Navy SEALs-operated plan conducted in 1989 designed to capture Panamanian leader Manuel Noriega. When Noriega took refuge in the Holy See Apostolic Nuncio (diplomatic quarter), deafening music and other psychological warfare were used to convince him to exit and surrender himself.

The United States claimed that after ten days of psychological harassment, Papal ambassador Monsignor Laboa had threatened to revoke Noriega's sanctuary if he didn't surrender to the United States, although Laboa insisted that he had made no threats of revoking the right of asylum under the Church, but had used his own "precisely calibrated psychological campaign" to force Noriega's departure.[1]

Although the operation was successful, National Security Advisor Brent Scowcroft would later point to the psychological harassment of the Papal Nuncio as "a low moment in US Army history", noting that their approach had been silly, reproachable and undignified.[2]

When I worked retail a few years ago, I worked in a major department store's shipping and receiving department. The dock area was huge and cavernous; it could easily support three simultaneous truck drops/loads without anyone tripping over each other.

We wanted to kill someone when the store's music switched from contemporary pop junk (Beiber, Selena Gomez, etc) to Christmas music. We had no way of adjusting the volume.

Eight to twelve hours a day of various iterations of the same Christmas carols is definitely torture.

Yeah, FARK due process!

The constant playing of Christmas music is for me a deterrent to shopping in person.  When I do shop, as for groceries, I try to get in and out as quickly as possible.

(Go ahead, make the sexual connotations.)

That's pretty much how every guy ever, no matter the product or the time of year, shops.

The shopping environment (music, lighting, scent, etc.) is designed with the female shopper in mind.

The inclusion of that song on the playlist would automatically give merit to the complaint.

Adding "Christmas Shoes" to the list would warrant the death penalty.

That's two 'in jail around Christmas' threads today that remind me that my oh so deserving ex is sitting in one somewhere in rural Kansas because I guess the judge didn't mean it when they sent that notice to appear. Normally I feel some empathy for people that are in jail for minor shiat, but in this case I really don't. This woman is such a sociopath that not even her own family will bail her out, even though they can afford it.

That being said, I think 24 hour Christmas music is a bit much. Let people have some peace and quiet (at least as much as you'll get in a county lockup, which isn't much).
