After spending a few years in veterinary work, the scariest thing I know of is a small dog with horrible teeth.  If you get bit by one, you start antibiotics immediately, because those mouths are full of nasty.

Pet dental care, not just good for your pet.

This is what happens when you get yappy dogs. The bite ya.

Big dogs can be trained to be nice. If they do bite you, they tear out your throat.

I sympathize. Mine is more generalized than yours, which is to say that it's everywhere. I'm not keen on immunosuppressants either, but I'm reaching the point where I'm seriously considering it.

Maybe it's because I'm on an Android phone, but following the link didn't take me to any article.

I really need to get it into writing that if I'm ever unconscious and three limbs need to be amputated, just kill me.  I believe in reincarnation so I'll just take the next go-round.

Losing three limbs means you can still beat off.

In fact it's about the only thing anyone will expect you to be able to do anymore.

Poor little guy! But you know they can do ingenious things with doggie prosthetics now. Sometimes veterinarians can give 'em little wheeled carts, etc.

Oh Shih!

A Shih-Tzu is not a dog. Any dog that can fit in another dog's mouth is automatically disqualified from being a dog.

Shih tzus aren't bad dogs, but typically the people who have them are bad per owners. They're highly energetic and curious, and they need to be exercised and engaged regularly. But usually their owner is some fat middle aged woman who wants a pillow with eyeballs, and who thinks walking it 5' into the backyard to shiat is adequate activity time, and yeah, those dogs are restless and aggressive.

Which came first, the spaghetti or the mom that reheats it?

Today, the 50-year-old walks around her home, deftly drinks from a coffee cup and reheats spaghetti for her kids.

I'm convinced that line had to have come from a Christopher Guest movie.  It  reminds me of the scene in Best in Show where Jennifer Coolidge is talking about her relationship with the senile old sugar daddy, "We have so much in common.  We both like soup."  And then she goes on to say, "We could talk or not talk forever and still find things to not talk about."

At the end of the day, though, this is one of those freak accidents that just happen.  I'm guessing you have a better chance of winning big in the lottery than having such a severely compromised immune system that a bite from a dog would cause you to lose a limb, let alone three.

I'm imagining her walking briskly around the kitchen, sipping coffee constantly, the microwave dings, she hurries over pulls out a giant bowl of spaghetti. Rushes out to the dining room table where 10 other bowls are already waiting. The kids are weeping "MOM FOR THE LOVE OF GOD! PLEASE MAKE SOMETHING ELSE!" she sets down the bowl and takes a sip from her coffee cup "You know *sip* I lost 3 limbs *sip* I'm doing the best I can *sip*" she briskly walks back into the kitchen and calls out "Hey! *sip* Who wants some spaghetti?*sip*"
