For once, I didn't know most of them.

Gonna watch this when I get home tonight.

You see, Indiana was far too advanced technologically, so they had to shoot the film in Ohio.

#21: The bully's name was "Scut" not Scott.

In #6, the "Black Christmas" trailer, at 1:10 there's a scene where Peter Griffin has lost his Cheetos in the dark.

Weird.

I've been to that house, one of the weirdest experiences I've ever had. They had the guy who played the little brother living there, so at the end of the "tour" he came down with his morning coffee for pictures, autographs and questions. The whole house was kind of like Madame Tousseauds, stand here take a picture, stand there take a picture.
They have also bought out surrounding houses for use as a Museum and gift shop.

Really?

1. The house from the film is located at 3159 W 11th Street in Cleveland, Ohio.

3. The film is set in 1940s Indiana, but filming took place in Ohio.

18. The movie may be the epitome of Norman Rockwell American nostalgia, but parts were also filmed in Canada.

So 3 of the 20 things I didn't know about ACS are, "Movies are often filmed in different cities than in the film."
Film at 11!

/You lie, "Interesting" tag!

Wasn't that just the nickname they gave him?  For some reason, i thought his real name was Scott.

Porkys was a much funnier movie.

Best Bob Clark movie, hands down was Murder by Decree. 1979. James Mason and Christopher Plummer (Plummer was brilliant as Sherlock Holmes. Very Basil Rathbone). Jack the Ripper's eyes freaked me out. The close up of him hiding in the shadows, showing only a band of light across his black eye's is still a thing of nightmares.

I watched A Christmas Story a few years ago and even though I have watched it I don't know how many times there was one thing that didn't make sense to me. In the scene where the dad gets the lamp and goes to plug it into the wall socket there are all kinds of other plugs, plugged into the outlet. But they hadn't put the tree up, and in the early 1940's it is not like you are going to have a bunch of other electric devices in the living room to begin with (most of the stuff plugged into power in my living room didn't exist in the 1940's). So other than the radio and maybe a couple of lamps what the hell else did they have plugged in?

Lamps, radio, etc.  When people had their houses wired for electricity in the early 20th century, they thought the same way you do: why in the hell would we need more than a couple outlets?  And I've always suspected the electricians charged per outlet, so people had as few as possible put in.

My parents own a house built in the 1870s, which they bought in the 1960s.  The living room is about 18 by 25 and there are a total of three outlets in the room, one on each of the four walls.

/Growing up in a house like that, extension cord and multi-plug outlet blocks are your friend.

Melinda Dillion is also well known in the LGBT and BDSM communities for her dedication to education about anal sex and anal masturbation.
She also lectures on group sex and gang-bangs.
She's a very informative speaker, with a lot of first-hand insights.

She always plays 'the mom'.... She was the abducted boy's mom in Close Encounters of the 3rd Kind, and she was the druggie abused girl's mom in Magnolia.

But they only had one radio. Even if you assume three lamps there was still way more things plugged into that outlet than could be explained. Unless it was serving the entire ground floor. Because otherwise there just weren't enough things invented that would need power. I mean it is not like they would have had a TV/DVD player/computer plugged in.

Sorry, outlets on three walls, no outlets on the fourth wall, which is a brick party wall.

I kinda assume in house that size that there was only one outlet in the living room.  Figure you've got two or three table lamps, a floor lamp, the radio, a radio lamp, and its starts to add up.

And really, it's all about comedic exaggeration.

And D cell batteries didn't hold much charge back then so Mom had to plug "B.O.B" into the wall too.

Alternatively she could have hooked it up to a diesel generator but some find that lacks subtlety.

23. According to imdb.com Yano Anaya only starred in three movies. Two of them most Farkers should know.
