You mean there are people who really thought she had read it? That she is even capable of reading anything more complicated than Curious George?

2013-12-24 07:40:01 AM
Hard hitting journalism from Politico.

2013-12-24 07:41:57 AM
She reads all the newspapers, which doesn't leave much time for GQ.

2013-12-24 07:50:48 AM
So what you're saying is that she went into the argument with a clear state of mind and an unbiased view?  Yup.  Welcome to Librulvania: Demand an open mind, ask for none of it in return.  Lol.

2013-12-24 07:59:19 AM
I wonder what she thinks he said.

2013-12-24 08:15:36 AM
Well I'm shocked

2013-12-24 08:16:12 AM
She hasn't read "On the Origin of Species", and she's against evolution anyway.

C'mon, Sarah, you used to be better than this.  When they ask you about the interview, you're supposed to say you read all of them.

2013-12-24 08:20:35 AM
In what respect, Charlie?

2013-12-24 08:21:23 AM
Ah yes, brain-dead teabagging opportunists and brain-dead redneck opportunists.

Like chocolate and peanut butter.

2013-12-24 08:23:44 AM
I would imagine that she would not have changed anything she said even if she had read the interview.

2013-12-24 08:48:23 AM
Well that certainly explains why she thinks Corinthians is one of the Gospels.

Real infromed Christian there.

2013-12-24 09:21:14 AM

JasonOfOrillia: I would imagine that she would not have changed anything she said even if she had read the interview.

...well, she might have steered clear of that particular tar baby whole and entire had she bothered to even skim the dang thing...

It comes down to a "If'n they's a fer it, then I'hm ag'in it!" and if some Lefty or minority has got their knickers in a twist, then it's a "Real American's" right to twist the f*cking knife and dogpile on it further. And that is part of the problem: knee jerk reactions, based on partisan blinders, without actual thought or understanding. Be that in foreign relations, economics, education, or just plain incidents of dumbassery.

Sometimes it's not about "sides" but just about someone being a dumbass. Anthony Weiner comes to mind in this. Rob Ford. Dick Cheney shooting a guy in the face. Pee Wee Herman pulling out and on his junk in a theater. Blind support of folks NO MATTER WHAT THEY DO is not Conservatism, and it's not healthy either. For anyone.

2013-12-24 09:23:32 AM
She is just so lazy.  Speaking out and reacting without reading is one thing.  But now you're being interviewed and still couldn't be bothered to be prepared.

She's the walking embodiment of "quit" and willful ignorance.

2013-12-24 09:48:04 AM

Yeah, the spin the right has tried to put on this Duck Dynasty thing is "He's being punished for expressing his religious beliefs!", but if you look at what he said, it's pretty hardcore racism and homophobia.  It goes well beyond just having a religious objection to homosexuality -- it's really hateful shiat.  And there's only so far "These are my religious beliefs"

takes you as a defense.

2013-12-24 09:53:08 AM
She's just furious that Walmart isn't packed to the rafters with shoddily-made, high-profit-margin "Snowmachine Royalty" merchandise featuring her, Todd and the entire clan -- even the super-rare action figure with Moanin' Bristol bent over a stack of husky chow bags by bobble-groin Levi.

Wrong tense, Sarah.

2013-12-24 10:11:41 AM
Didn't or couldn't?

2013-12-24 10:13:51 AM
I require no context to agree with this headline.

Yes, Sarah - let's talk about "tolerance".

Ms. Palin, can you name any interview that you've read?  Ever?

Can... can you read?

2013-12-24 10:15:34 AM
Hmm, one Duck Dynasty thread this AM not enough?

Hey, let's green another one, except this time, with Sarah Palin thrown in as well! That'll be sure to get us some more clicks!!!

It really astounds me just how long Palin's 15 minutes have been extended by this point. She has literally done nothing of significance in the past 5 years and still draws more attention than all of the actual politicians in Congress combined.

2013-12-24 10:15:38 AM
I wonder if Phil finds Sarah's vagina more or less desirable than a man's anus.

2013-12-24 10:15:45 AM
You just can't make this shiat up.

And if you did she wouldn't read it anyway.

2013-12-24 10:16:06 AM

bulldg4life: Thanks McCain.

Don't you mean Obama? They obviously wouldn't have tried the "vapid, belligerent, blowhard" running mate thing if it wasn't for Obama.

Thanks for trivializing Matthew Shepard's horrific death by trying to equate it to religious bullshiat comments made by a redneck that in no way encouraged or endorsed violence.

I guess it's all in how you perceive it

2013-12-24 10:22:04 AM
I think this is a point of pride, like how Tea Party groups freaked out over Christie refusing to endorse Steve Stockman against John Cornyn in a right wing radio interview because he didn't know what Stockman's views/personal history and would need to review both of the candidates before endorsing anyone.

One is more conservative than the other, Chris. You must support the tribe and always endorse a rightward shift, even if it means boasting a crazed snake oil salesman saying something completely objectionable to the majority of Americans.

BTW: that was a tweet from George Takei

How could anyone have imagined Sarah would comment on something she knew nothing about?

2013-12-24 10:23:07 AM
Passionately commenting on an article without reading it? Sounds like she'd be right at home on Fark.

2013-12-24 10:23:08 AM

WTF Indeed: Hard hitting journalism from Politico.

They're just reporting on FoxNews pulling this factoid out of Palin.

Someone should shiat in her mouth.

Hardly. The factual inaccuracies and debunked talking points she constantly spews are typical of the Right here on FARK. I'd be surprised if she DIDN'T have an FARK alt.

Now you've done it, you've set up a "you mean she's graduated to Curious George now? I thought she was having issues with 'See Spot Run' still" comment, and dammit I just made it.

2013-12-24 10:36:54 AM
After the GQ interview was published, Palin immediately came to Robertson's defense drew attention to herself to capitalize on the news cycleby posting a statement on Facebook saying it was an issue of free speech and defended his comments in a TV appearance with Sean Hannity.

You know that's a 'shop, right?

There's lots to mock Bush for, no need to make stuff up.

Palin's views are actually very representative of the tea party mindset, I think she's the perfect poster child.

It's quite obvious from comments in Fark, Facebook and elsewhere that few if any of Robertson's supporters have read the article or even the excerpts in the media.  They're all blindly supporting the guy.

It's funny, too, that they're demonstrating their anger with A&E by buying up all of the licensed DD merchandise.  Not the sharpest tools in the workshop, these people...

I betcha she doesn't even know what Martin Bashir looks or sounds like, either. But she knows he's an ebil, ebil man who deserved to be fired from MSNBC for being mean to her.
