Hold it! Now, are we actually gonna go before the Daily Mail, and tell him that some moldy Babylonian glasses are going to drop in on my face and start deflecting bullets?

Didn't see it coming?

One of the reason that I wear Oakley sunglasses is that they are ANSI rated impact resistant. If I'm going to put something in front of my eyes, they might as well protect me.

What about undercoating?

"So you want to go before a federal judge and tell him that these impact resistant lenses can deflect knives?"

"Bullets, not knives."

"No offense, but I think I want my own lawyer."

Thats the same reason I wear the $4.97 wrap around safety glasses from Walmart. They have an ANSI rating also, and their cheap. It's more because they're cheap and I'm cheap. The ANSI rating is really just frosting.

Sales Lady: I recommend the scratch resistant lenses for $$$
Me: ok
Sales Lady: I also recommend our microfiber cloth to clean them
Me: Thanks, but I just use my shirt
Sales Lady: Your shirt could scratch the lenses
Me:  Paying $$$ doesn't protect them from a plain cotton shirt?  What does it protect from then?  How about a silk shirt?
Sales Lady: Well, your shirt could have debris on it
Me: So can a microfiber cloth, especially if it's in my pocket
Sales Lady: Listen, do you want the free cloth or not?
Me: Free?  Oh, sure!

Subby didn't RTFA. It was the frames that stopped the bullet, not the lenses.

/still glad the kid is ok.

His glasses can deflect any projectile weapon known to man.

....Still known to take the occasional shot to the face.

You'll also want the anti-scratch and anti-glare for an extra 200 bucks.

Time to upgrade from your ubiquitous 9mm, Gangstas.

Those guys are so gangsta. Missing their intended target but managing to shoot a teenage girl in the face who was saved by the sheer luck of falling asleep with her glasses on.

It wasn't the lens, it was the frame. So next time they ask if you want the high-strength cold-rolled steel frames, you say, "Dear God, yes".

So Alonza Bryant is lucky to be alive after her glasses deflected bullets away from her face during a drive-by shooting?

Sumerian, not Babylonian or Mesopotamian.
