Does anyone know what originally caused the vodka craze of the last decade or so? It's been around for a thousand years, but I swear Millennials (and some Gen Xers for that matter) act like it's the coolest new thing in the world. Did it just get a new PR manager or something?

It's not all that complicated. Vodka is alcohol for people who don't like the taste of alcohol. It's also cheaper than most other hard alcohols. You can get a passable bottle (Smirnoff) for basically nothing, and even the "luxury" brands (Grey Goose, Ciroc) are priced within reach for all but the brokest of grown children.

People have been sending text messages with vodka since the dawn of text messaging.  You can tell by the incoherent drivel and curious 2AM timing.

I've recently started drinking vodka, and I have single-handedly killed most fashion crazes of the past decade. So don't worry, I'm on it.

(Vodka, red grapefruit juice, and a bit of peppermint extract. Is that a thing? I love it.)

As if drunk texting wasn't a big enough problem. At least I can belch my messages now.

more or less.. part of the mixology craft cocktail thingy that some of them seem to enjoy. flavored spirits are the fastest growing part of that market segment.

the industrial name for Vodka is NGS, or Neutral Grain Spirit. and one can use it as a carrier for most any kind of flavoring.

I blame Sex in the city personaly. seems the whole throw a bunch in a cocktail glass and call is a "blablabla-"blablablaŧini" started with them

Neat, but name one instance where it would work better than radio waves?
Why couldn't the supposed sewer robots use WiFi?
