FirstNationalBastard: FTFS:

While WWE is using Big Show in a diaper to hype next week's big New Year's RAW, he is not being advertised for the show. WWE will be running a live event in Toronto at the same time next week's RAW is going on in Richmond, Virginia.

The updated listing for Toronto has John Cena, Randy Orton, Big Show, Kane, Cody Rhodes, Goldust, Antonio Cesaro, Alberto Del Rio, Sin Cara and Zeb Colter appearing. The listing for RAW in Richmond has CM Punk, Mark Henry, Daniel Bryan, The Shield, The Wyatt Family, Curtis Axel, Triple H and Stephanie McMahon appearing.

Damn, that would almost be worth getting tickets to the Coliseum for. Almost everyone I would want to see is in Richmond, while almost everyone I couldn't care less to see is in Toronto.

Either way, RAW sounds like it will be good next week.

Heh, I'd take the Rhodes brothers, Cesaro, and Zeb off that Toronto list and that's it.

Highlights from part 2 of Chris Jericho's interview with Edge for his podcast Talk is Jericho -

- Cena taking the DDT on concrete and immediately afterward beating the remaining two Nexus members at SummerSlam was Cena's idea.  Jericho and Edge tried to talk him out of it, but "he was adamant" about it, at which point Edge threw his hands up and said "fine, I'm out of the match at that point."  Cena realized it was a bad idea afterwards, apparently.  Jericho and Edge both mention they argued for Wade Barrett to go over, but it was ignored, and as Jericho says, "in all fairness, where's Wade Barrett now?  They should've listened to us."

- Both guys commiserate about "someone in a position of authority who felt threatened" and tried burying them behind the scenes once they got the big belt.  Edge then tells a nice story about how Vince was actually on his side at the time of his first cash-in despite this and fought against said unnamed person on his behalf to get him 3 weeks as champion until he'd drop it back at the Rumble.  It was Edge's idea for him to cash-in after the Elimination Chamber at New Year's Revolution, and he actually came up with it only a week prior to the PPV.  You'd think it'd be silly that after establishing that the MITB winner could cash in at any time, they'd have him do it legit, but apparently that was the story.  Edge had to point out it fit his character much better to cash in after a match.  You can see Vince say something to Edge on the video when he hands over the briefcase at the PPV, and it was "prove me right."

Edge thinks he did as well, he mentioned the huge spike in traffic at WWE.com after he won the belt and the ratings going up those 3 weeks of Raw, but when the idea to have Edge keep the belt came up, that same person in authority said "we've got a plan, we have to stick to it.  And you know when they have an idea it doesn't matter if it's in the plans or not," lol, an added hint who that was, I suppose.

Ah, the plan that can't be changed...

That's why the Summer of Punk 2, a possible license to print money and get mainstream exposure again, was demolished so they could have Cena vs. Rock for the fans to yawn at.

Yep.  It's all about the plan (and how you plan it-AH).

The whole conversation's great and so far Talk is Jericho's worth subscribing to, but if you want to hear about the Nexus dying a quick death, Edge's first cash-in, and unnamed people-ah in authority-ah, that segment starts at 40:10 and goes to 47:15.

And if you're on Podcast one anyway, download some of Stone Cold's episodes.

Some of the better ones... anything with an NWO member, Daniel Bryan, Bruce Prichard, Jim Ross.

Oh yeah, Austin's show has been really good too.  Cornette just started his own weekly show at MLW Radio called The Jim Cornette Experience, usual hilarity there.

I've got Cornette's stuff on the mp3 player, but I'll probably work through Jericho first.

Also have some Art of Wrestling podcasts with guests that interest me. IIRC, Colt has had Repo Man and The Genius on. How can you not want to hear Mr. Hole in One or Lanny Poffo?

Colt's stuff's also really good, liked his Scott Hall one, and of course when Punk sits in...hmm, out of 21 subscribed podcasts, 9 are related to wrestling.  That's nice.  lol
