As someone who enjoyed the hell out of Anchorman 2, I say bring it on.

Stupid? Threatening? As in subby has stupid taste in movies and is threatening to keep submitting bad headlines?

Danny Kaye should kick his ass from beyond the grave.

For whatever reason, I think Ben Stiller in real life is pretty close to the Ben Stiller he played in Extras.

As a Danny Kaye fan I would like to point out this is not a remake of the 1947 film. It is a new version of the story based on the original short story.

I'd watch a second Zoolander. I'm so tasteless that I enjoyed the first (especially the tiny phones).

I'd say, after Anchorman, Zoolander is the best comedy in the last 15 years.

Sounds like a freak gasoline fight accident waiting to happen.

Then what do you think of Patrick Stewart?

Well he's definitely already seen everything, but I don't think he's a run of the mill pervert. Ben Stiller just gives me a vibe that he's really high strung and takes himself too seriously. You know that guy who makes fun of everyone, but absolutely loses his mind if you return the favor? That's the vibe I get from Ben Stiller.

I don't care. I'll watch it.

...Just like I watched Anchorman 2, and will watch Dumb and Dumber To.

Sure, nonce of them are/will be as good as the original, but whatever. I like the characters.

The "comically oversized smartphone" jokes write themselves.

Count me in Camp Zoolander as well. Very underappreciated, I feel. The whole "Walk Off" scene(s) are so great.

Ben Stiller: And who are you?
Andy Millman: Nobody.
Ben Stiller: What?
Andy Millman: Nobody.
Ben Stiller: Exactly. And who am I?
Andy Millman: Either Starsky or Hutch, I can never remember.
Ben Stiller: Was that supposed to be funny?
Andy Millman: You tell me, you were in it.

I don't know if I'd go that far with either of them, but I will admit to having trouble coming up with a counterpoint off the top of my head.  Zoolander is almost perfectly crafted, if someone doesn't like it that's fine, but if you do it maintains an almost perfect rhythm and pacing.  It's one of those rare comedies that remains amusing pretty much every second of the film instead of plodding along waiting for the next gag to be set up.  Very obvious and unsubtle about it, but still very witty in it's way.  The only jarring 'gag' joke in the film in my opinion was the 2001 apes dealing with the computer bit.

I hope David Bowie will be in it.

I loved the short story, and when I heard he was going to be in a movie based on it along with woman beating wonderkin Sean Penn, I hated the sound of it.

But I have to admit, I love the look of the trailer. It looks to be a way more serious tone than Stiller's other movies, Penn looks the part of a jet setting photo journalist, and over all it just looks to be a slightly more somber comedy.

It looks kind of like Will Ferrell's turn in "Stranger than Fiction." I personally really want to see it.

You know, I hate most all Sandler movies, and I'm not a huge Barrymore fan, but when they get together it's actually entertaining.

The Wedding Singer is still a great movie, and 50 First Dates should have been terrible but was surprisingly watchable. It's kind of like The 40 Year Old Virgin, in that it could have been incredibly mean spirited but actually was surprisingly sweet.

Good on you. I'm glad you and you alone were able to find the sweet irony I had buried in my statement.
And, I truly hope I'm wrong on this, but trailers are not movies.

And this really reeks of "Hey! Look at me, everyone! I'm a serious ac-tor in a serious, inspirational role!"
Basically, it seems (to me, anyway) like this is his real-life "Simple Jack."

Enjoy the trailer, if not the movie.

Danny Kaye made a Zoolander film in '47?

I learn something new on Fark every day. Thanx.

I just watched the "Walter Mitty" trailer and it looked pretty good. Well, until Sean Penn made his appearance.

I know two people who said Walter Mitty was one of the best movies they've seen. I value their opinion so color me I intrigued.

Zoolander....... The first time I saw this movie, I hated it. I thought it was ridiculous.

The second time I saw it, I caught myself enjoying it.

The third time I saw it, I thought it was brilliant.

Some movies take me awhile to enjoy, and this was one of them. I think a sequel would be difficult, but I would be willing to give it a try.

"What is this? A school for ants?"

Slight Threadjack, what movie have you hated the first time watching it, and then ended up really liking it?

I watched Walter Mitty when I was too young to recognize the actors and spent most of my life believing that I saw David Niven in the title role.
Does Niven ever do a Mitty version? He's perfect for a henpecked husband character.

I keep meaning to revisit Barton Fink. As much of a Coen Bros. fan as I am I hated that film. A lot of people love it so I keep wanting to give it another chance.
