So she was in one scene to begin with? Makes a helluva lot more sense to boot what sounds like a pointless scene if you ask me.

Of course, the other implication of a well-known character being in a single scene in the entire movie points to a really bad story and/or directing.

Jeez don't let her touch you, subby.  Didn't you watch the other movies?  Hit on Storm FFS. Not Jean Grey.

FFS, guys.

True Blood. Season two. Episode one. Ten minutes from the end. You're welcome.

So let's see: If Rogue has superpowers, and Professor X is alive in both timeframes, that means X-Men 3 hasn't yet happened/didn't happen. If Jean Gray is in both timelines, then X-Men 2 didn't happen. If the point is to save President Kelley, then X-Men 1 didn't happen. And the First Class team needs some new additions.
This should be interesting.

X-Men 3 did happen based on The Wolverine which set up this movie.  I have no idea how there's going to retcon everything.

Time travel. Always time travel (or alternate dimensions).

I thought Days of Future Past was a story that did timeline and alternate reality jumping or something similar. If that's the case there's no need to retcon anything.

am I alone in wishing they were just making a sequel to X-Men Origins rather than trying to bridge X-3 and Origins? It looks decent either way, but I think X-3 farked up all kinds of things; I'd rather they just pretend Origin is the reboot it really was.

The comic was about time traveling Kitty Pryde trying to change the future and failing. Just remembered that Sebastian Shaw is alive in DoFP, so there would go First Class as well.

X-Men: First Class was on FX last night, and I hadn't seen it yet. My kids watched it, since they really enjoy the superhero movies, and I enjoyed it. I don't get the hate a lot of folks have for that movie, but then again I'm not intimately familiar with the comics and that particular canon.

/ Thor was on after, and I liked that one too. My nine-year-old has a crush on Sif, and the wife seems to think Tom Hiddleston is handsome.

Unfortunate, but if they include it on the dvd that'll probably be out 6 months after it hits theatres, don't really care.

Bullshiat. Next to X-Men 2, First Class was the movie that showed the most deep and complete understanding of what made the Claremont-era X-Men the greatest super-hero run in history.

Moving around names and events doesn't make a difference. Whoever wrote that movie was *intimately* familiar with X-Men comics.

it takes time to get braces & all, not all the high-tech stuff works either if you're booked on various period pieces.  Invisalign(actually financed by Jerry Yang from Yahoo as a promise he made 2 an undergrad friend before he ever launched his site) won't work for everybody. I should add that Katya Paquin's interesting...

It's possible to engineer most of your body's appearance, but if every Hollywood star modified themselves to look the same, wouldn't the one who stood out be more memorable?

Jennifer Grey supposedly ruined her career by "fixing" her nose. The "after" nose looked perfectly fine, but she lost a lot of personality and uniqueness that her face had.

The character wasn't supposed to be a teenager, so we never got the full powered kick-ass Rogue of the comics.

I think you might be getting the hate confused. People mostly liked First Class. It was the first standalone Wolverine movie that was hated.

My main issue with X-Men: First Class movie was that when I think of First Class, I think of Scott, Jean, Bobby, Hank and Warren.  My other issue was that Darwin, the mutant that can survive just about anything, is killed.

No way to do a movie with the original 5 after First Class and the other 3 films. The chronology of the characters is too screwed up. Havok's older brother Scott won't be born for a few decades, neither will Bobby or Warren or Jean.
