That's it rich guys. Keep poking the people that have to worry about basic needs. They can't do anything to you. They never have gotten together, removed their current government and the taken all the rich people's stuff while killing some or all of them. Perfectly safe way of showing how much better than them you are.

He quit as a special constable after being convicted of theft while on duty.

but of course those poors are the real takers

He's got a punchable face, yes. But are we really going to say he's more punchable than Sean Hannity or Eric Cantor?

Arachnophobe: Eric Cantor

careful, now. If you hauled off and hit him you'd run the risk of getting smarm all over your hand.

So he's stalking pubs looking for pretty girls down on their luck? Must be quite a change from stalking young Tory girls in Oxfordshire.

I'd lash out too if I found the Tories paid my stint of chatting up their own but when it comes to the poors, the poors don't pay much if any.

I dunno, it looks pretty squishy, like punching an overstuffed mattress. Cantor kinda has a rocky dennis thing going on, it'd be worth it but you'd break your hand.

Be careful with that asshat. Notice how his upper lip NEVER moves while he's talking (I've sometimes referred to him as a "living Supermarionation puppet"). That may be because that bad halloween mask he uses for a face doesn't quite fit over the titanium skull underneath.

Brostorm: Poor people making poor decisions? What kind of evil bastard would make such a statement?

Everyone makes bad decisions. Everyone.
It's just the richer you are, the more you can get away with.
It's the evil bastards saying or implying the wealthy and well-off don't make bad decisions, while at the same time disproportionately punishing the poor for theirs.
It's the evil bastards that say if the poor would just stop going to the pub, just cancel their cable subscription, stop using refrigerators, deny themselves any pleasure, just work a little harder,  etc, etc, etc, that they won't be poor, and then use that very same line to deny them access to basic necessities absent any evidence beyond a gut feeling or an anecdote.

Maybe the UK system is dysfunctional. Their more or less 2 party system implies that, so fair enough.

Though, generally, in parliamentary systems, the seats are divided such that if you get 10% of the votes, you get 10% of the seats.

Some people believe that if a person gets ANY aid whatsoever that we should be able to control every aspect of their spending.

I agree. If you have a kid and use its corresponding tax break (not to mention public schools) then I get to tell you how fancy a car you can drive, give you drug tests, take away your big screen tv and possibly your fridge. You don't get to smoke, drink, or even buy condoms - which encourage teh sex that will just put you deeper on the welfare rolls.

Because if I pay a dime towards your little farking brat, I may as well be paying the dime towards those other things. And that is wrong.

Right?

Um, no, at least in a Westminster type parliament. Some other forms of government have varying degrees of proportional representation, but not most.

And if your oil company gets a billion dollar tax break, I get to decide how and where you drill for oil, how much you pay your employees, how much you charge for a gallon of gas...

Hmm.  I kind of like this line of reasoning...
