I'm not trying to be "That Guy" (really, i'm not) but a Kickstarter campaign?  I saw something almost exactly like this for sale at a Sportsmans show over 10 years ago.

I have loads.

5 1/4 AND 3.5

I've got data storage dating back to the 70s. I don't know why I've still got them.

I've still got a Vic20 and Amiga 500 still in working order.

The fast reload device was a stroke of genius.... I'd say the kid has a future as an engineer but from what I can tell engineers are now solely responsible for deliberately designing stuff to have breakable and difficult to replace parts that are just different enough from something you already own.

Yeah the reload device is what made me sit up and take notice. I'm not sure how much entertainment value the gun has after a few times picking up and reloading.

I'll be that guy, this had already been "invented" quite a while ago.  Proof:

Hell, the last picture came from  rubberbandgatlinggun.com, which was created in  2009. How is this guy getting publicity for this?

I have a bunch of 5 1/4 floppies also and they are all unopened. When I bought Microsoft Word, Office, Publisher and other Microsoft software on 3.5 floppies, there were coupons to get 5 1/4 floppies for no additional charge, so that is what I did. I don't know what I will ever do with them.

It looks to me like he has a unique way of releasing the rubber bands. Also as mentioned before, the reloading device is nice.

I would say at least unlike the link you gave, this guy is NOT charging 1000 farking dollars!  Holy hell why do they charge so much?  That approaching the price a person might pay for a real (non Gatling) gun.  Wow.

That one is an 80 shot versus this guys gun which is 672 shots and a quick loader for $100.

$100 - $120

Yeah tough call there.

OK the mounted guns are pretty cool.  It seems that they only sell plans and while that works for some people, other people don't have the tools/time/ability/gumption to DIY something like that.

I would say the kickstarter was for financing an entire run of them.  It did mention using CNC machining after all - chances are this is not a CNC machine he owns.  If he was to make them one on a per customer basis, it would probably cost much more and possibly deliver a less consistent product.  It really makes sense to do it the way he is doing it.

I absolutely need one of these.  The hard part is deciding between burnt wood and black - the original just doesn't look at cool now that I have seen the other choices.  Shame there is no possibility of me now getting one of these things as a present for my nephew for Christmas.  I would be the coolest uncle ever.  Of course I would actually need to buy 2 of them to do this - so that we may go to war.

As someone currently building a fully automatic Rubber band gun from plans, i find his shenanigans silly.
The one i'm building does not use a motor, unlike his. it has a capacity of about 70, but can be modified to about 100

Note, this one takes tools to make  if you dont own/have access to a good drill press dont even bother buying the plans.

I was about to post the same. Not to take away anything from the guys machine, but I bought plans for this 13 years ago. I still have them. It came with multiple triggers and rotating wheels made from pvc. I just had a quick looks for the plans on my shelf, but can't locate them at the time.

I guess some people haven't seen this before, so it's new to them. If he can get people to fund him on kickstarter, all the more to him.
