Cygnus God of Balance: Addiction is not a disease - and phrasing it a "personal health issue" is a stretch.  They try to spin it like she's more empathetic in her role, but the cynic in me only sees the hypocrisy that is so rampant in the local court systems and their profiteering partners.


It may not be a disease.  We could probably argue about that endlessly, but to say it's not a "personal health issue" is just beyond stupid.

On a more serious note, I'm thinking some of her sentences to past defendants might be overturned on the grounds that she might not have been sober when she pronounced them?
