I thought Pitt was over acting in that one. Cool movie but he played that character too over the top. Thats just my opinion.

And, as for a lifetime of immoderate alcohol consumption's effects on the immune system, we turn to...

..someone who can't remember if they are ill.

Mostly agree, but I think the "crazy wacko" roles are his strength.

If moderate drinking is good for you then it should counteract the bad that excessive drinking causes.... so never stop drinking.

I went to the theatre and told the ticket booth guy "twenty-four monkeys, please." - and he gave me two tickets.

We nodded at each other, and I moved on.

Sounds like you might have a bit of a cold there. I suggest you start drinking.

According to this article, my two Budweisers a night should keep me hale.

I would avoid most of it if you can.  Several good looking actresses, but cardboard cutouts would give a better acting performance.  My wife loves it, though...

Does this mean I can start using my FSA to buy booze and claim the swig I take out of the bottle underneath my carseat before going into work is a preventative health measure?

I couldn't get away from how poorly forced the movie was.

He has a useless wife that seems to only exist to annoy you and him. The execs must have forced her in so women "would see the movie". And the whole climax of the movie is done with entirely different characters with an entirely different tone.

It felt like an obligatory piece of artifice. Any other piece of zombie media is more interesting.

During that time some monkeys drank a lot and some were more modest in their boozing behavior - just like humans.

Obligatory in any drunk monkey thread

The show was initially going to be a one season deal, she was supposed to move there, get her revenge and be done with it. Then it turned out to be one of ABC's highest rated shows so they decided to keep it going. The plot has been so convoluted with twists, subplots and redirections that it makes little to no sense anymore.

I convinced my wife of this.  She hated the whole crazy turn they took during the second season.  Have you noticed the new miniseries that are coming out?  In particular the one Sofia Vergara is directing about hot women killing each other.  I like this idea much better.

I am a much bigger fan of the South American tradition of TV where you have tele-novellas with a set number of episodes (usually 15 or so) that recycle broad plot concepts with differences in setting.  You may each year have 2 or 3 "woman kills everyone" shows, but each only lasts 3 months with a plot that wraps up nicely at the end with little pressure on the writers to make it keep going.  You get better quality TV, acting, storytelling for your emotional investment.

Revenge, Once Upon a Time, and Betrayal all would have worked well as a single season (Betrayal less so).  666 Park Avenue, too.  Great concept, but people can only dedicate so much time and emotional investment into TV shows.
