...it was a perfectly good airplane.
RIP, Marine.

An employee from the skydiving school reportedly said just before Brandon landed, his parachute turned sharply left, then right and crashed to the ground.  He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Living near a sky diving school I've seen their instructors do some dumb shiat only a few hundred feet from the ground..  Like.. Dramatic S turns to make a flashy landings..  Sounds like this is what he was doing here but got a bit too flat in the turn

Does "flailing madly and screaming" count as doing something you love when you die?

If I were on Ellen I'd kill myself

He actually survived the fall, but was eaten by a spider.

You have to be wary of drop bears.

Yup, and it can be difficult to wear the proper spiked-shoulder pads and helmet that are necessary in drop bear territory, because the spikes may foul your lines when your chute deploys.

Very risky.

Yes we need more pictures to verify the attention she deserves.

I think New Zealand has less stuff that will kill you.  Plus I don't skydive anyway.

I guess he didn't realize the parachute spins backwards in Australia. Lesson learned.

Should be pretty easy, as her show doesn't pay for this stuff; they get it donated by the vacation companies for "promotional consideration".  And he would have had to sign the usual waivers with the skydiving company.

/can never understood why anyone would jump out of a plane for fun.

NZ has balrogs, orcs, evil magicians and a giant glowing evil red eye. I saw it in a documentary.

I think the obvious solution is to ban vacations.

My father nailed this on finding that one of his children went parachuting:
"I thought I raised you kids to be smart enough to not jump out of planes."

Yes.

YOU'RE DOING IT IN AUSTRALIA.

Skydiving isn't at all dangerous.

It's the falling onto earth at a high impact speed that does the trick.

He did not die doing what he loved.
That would be like moi getting crushed by a falling arcade cabinet, someone discovering the carnage and then saying, "Ahh he died doing what he loved, which was getting smooshed by Ms. Pac-Man."

Kinky

Seamer: Does "flailing madly and screaming" count as doing something you love when you die?

Was going to post the same thing.

If he'd, say, been hit in the head by a random goose during his skydive and killed instantly, then you could say he died doing what he loved.

"Cherilyn posted a message on Facebook with photos inside the plane before the jump, saying, 'My hero. My angel."

can't angels fly?

Those things are insidious, they produce a edible fruit that looks like a pink raspberry but, tastes like nothing. The sting if give you can last for months, nasty plant.
