(KTVB Boise)   Eight- and nine-year-old kids start a band and release a album with all proceeds going to help their friend who has been diagnosed with cancer. Selling their album for $5 they've already made more than $1,200. Who keeps kicking up the dust in here?   (ktvb.com) divider line 28

when is the IRS going to get involved
without the proper paperwork they need to be reporting this income
and paying taxes

otherwise they will get a willie nelson pulled on them
(ref willie did farm aid - gave the money away - got slammed for taxes)

Wouldn't it be nice if somebody got busy finding the cause and cure for these insidious diseases so these kids didn't have to deal with it at all?

/Silly idea.

Walmart execs later seen planning how they could declare that a whole corporation has cancer...

Wouldn't it be nice if we lived in a country where people could just go to a hospital and get treated for these diseases instead of being required to sell all their belongings and put on a curbside show in order to earn the privilege to do so?

/Have friends in Canada who had never heard of children setting up shops to pay for their medical treatments until I told them what kids have to do in the States, and they thought the practice was as barbaric as forcing your child into labor in order to pay for their kindergarten.

Wow, they're on pace to become a "behind the music" TV special by age 12.

I had friends in Canada that are now dead because they couldn't get in to see a doctor in time to catch the cancer that was eating them alive.

/more than one friend
//came to the States for treatment but in both cases it was too late

In the red cornerrrrr. . . at. . . well, the fighter isn't here yet, but at some point you'll hopefully get to see Canada's Healthcare System!

In the blue cornerrrrr. . . actually, the fighter was turned away at the door because he wasn't rich enough, but it would be America's Healthcare System!

Fark it, folks, we're canceling the bout and leaving it up to you idiots to debate which one is superior.

you know, if only Americans had a health care system in which everybody is insured for at least basic care for serious illnesses, regardless of their employment status, previous history, and income...

Sorry mate, I'm calling bullshiat. Canada's health system doesn't fark about with cancer.

I'm Canadian and I've never waited more than 2 weeks for an average doctor's appointment. If I am in real need, I can go to the local ER anytime although I may have to wait a couple of hours there. I have also known several cancer survivors who were treated in the Canadian system. Of course, I live in a smaller community and not in an overpopulated and under serviced city. Your results may vary.
