That's one way of killing the cognitive dissonance.

Oh my god. They've gone hipster. St. Ronnie, too liberal? The father of trickle down *snicker* economics?!

How's That TEA Party Monster working out for you, Dr. GOPenstein?

Can we go ahead and give these people Jesusland and be done with it?  I'd like to get our government focused on fixing problems instead of dealing with trolls.

Sure, just as long as it's in the Middle East, where totally-not-brown Jesus lived.

They can't go any further right.  They trapped up against a wall of total insanity.  The only question is how far left the Dems go to preserve a two party system.

Do they realize they think he's too liberal or did someone present them with his policies without attributing them to regan and the bagger response was OMG DIE LIEBRUL SCUM!!!!!!1!11!!!ELEVENTY!!

Anyone else starting to like Paul Ryan, at least a little?

I feel like he might actually turn out to be a decent conservative. At least he seems to have more sense than most of them and realizes that their 5 year temper tantrum strategy is not productive or popular and is at least pursuing an appearance of moderation.

He seems like a bro

One of my old college friends is a big TEA party guy, who also happens to work in healthcare, funnily enough. He's been railing on Obama and Obamacare for months on end, one FB post after another. Anyway for the past 2 weeks I haven't heard a peep out of him.

I wonder if he's finally realized it's all over so he's given up or if he's woken up to the fact that the Tea Party script was all BS. Or, is he just on vacation?

take all of their political views aside, the thing that actually scares me about the GOP is their quest for purity.

he needs to abandon the pledge party and come over to the party of governance.
I appreciate his background & his efforts to participate in an ever increasingly hostile political environment.
his budget (if it was his own) was shiat BUT i may be willing to overlook that knowing how the (R)'s like to have their ducks in a row.
I think he could be a universal team member & do some good for the country but again,  that depends on his adherence to the Republican game plan of obstruction.
I understand he has been frustrated with his party.

It's about time. Reagan was the go-to politician to bring up to right wingers about how he raised taxes and increased spending. They can't help but worship Reagan as the ultimate conservative. He was a right winger, but he was no teabagger.

Because if they weren't, they already have enough established politicians to potentially form a third party that competes with the Republicans.

And don't forget giving amnesty to 3 million illegal immigrants and raising taxes eight times.

So how much longer until they're saying that anyone who doesn't want to kill all non-Teahadists is too liberal?  It's obviously their final destination, but how far away is it?

FOX badmouthing Reagan so TDS has ammo? Well this clearly outs FOX as part of the liberal plot against Real Americans. Time to update the LOPCATGOPATA.

Fred Saberhagen wrote some SF books about a race that creates weapons, Berserkers, designed to destroy their enemy.  But they didn't define the enemy specifically and the Berserkers took their instructions to mean "destroy all life".  Ultimately, both sides were wiped out and the Berserkers continued on their mission of destruction.

That's what he GOP did.  They created a weapon, Teabaggers, to destroy their liberal enemy, the Democrats.  But they defined the enemy in terms of "liberal" and since conservatives think only in terms of absolutes, everything is to the left of "absolutely conservative".  Teabaggers are simply poorly programmed, mindless, destruction machines that have finally and inevitably begun turning on their creators.

We were warned.

Who else do they have?  GW was a doofus who got us into war and is fresh enough in our collective memory to not be useful as a wise old sage.  Bush Sr. couldn't get re-elected, and he raised taxes after promising not to.  Nixon had to flee office or get kicked out.  Ike?  He was far too liberal - he even warned us about the military industrial complex, and he was the last GOP prez from the time before "GOD and GUNS!" became the core of their jihad.

Reagan was all they had, and now he's not enough.  This should unhinge them even more.  Deicide is a biatch.

Don't put your political dick in crazy.  Politics, strange bedfellows, blah blah blah.  Have some principles that don't start with "herp" and end with "derp".

Don't forget; signed the biggest gun control legistlation ever when he was Gov.  AND was the first President to allow an openly homosexual couple in the White House overnight.

A friend of mine is a Dental Surgeon who doesn't use EMRs.
Anytime he can, he mentions how he is about to "retire" but not by choice, but because of... OBAMACARE!

The guy makes money hand over fist, can't keep up with the times, turned down the initial assistance to transition to EMRs, now he has to pay out of pocket, but won't because he is too cheap, but its not HIS fault!

I haven't heard from him lately either.
