aendeuryu: mjones73: noheadphones: No.  Ray Donovan is fantastic television.

Orange is the New Black is a steaming pile.

8.5 out of 10 on IMDB and 89% on Rotten Tomatoes... Most people don't agree with you on that one...

No, he's right, it's bad. Men have been writing terrible female characters for eons now, and OITNB is the revenge -- the female characters are alright, but the male characters are just awful.

I don't think I've ever seen a show whose fans biatched about the show as much as Walking Dead fans. Good lord, you guys have been biatching since like the second episode. Personally, I don't really get how anyone can really be that into Zombies. If you've seen the first 3 Living Dead movies, you have seen pretty much every iteration of the zombie trope.

I also wish people would stop dumping solely on Dexter's finale. Granted, it wasn't a good ending, but the whole season was really bad and the ending was just par for the course. The whole last season felt like the actors and writers just running out the clock.

Hemlock Grove was watchable for about one episode, but oh man did it turn really bad after that.

That guy's a rapist. Yeah, the show Romeo and Juliette'd it up, but he'd be on the sex offender registry in a second if they were caught.

IdBeCrazyIf: Into the blue again: I was so excited for that show. I like Kevin Bacon, he's done good in some odd roles. The show started out great, and it tumbled so fast. I think I made it through 9 episodes before I bailed. First 2 or 3 episodes left me wanting more, all the rest I watched me me want less.

Agreed, first 2 hooked me and then by 8 or 9 I was totally not even giving a shiat if they caught the guy, a little part of me wanted him to win and everyone else die

Given its casting and plot ideas, The Following would have been a pretty good movie.

There wasn't nearly enough depth of material to support a single season of a series, let alone multiple seasons. I have no idea where they think they are going with it.

Low Winter Sun - the only thing good about that show was the delicious snark in the Breaking Bad threads.

Under The Dome must have paid someone to stay off the list.

Sad that Dexter is now going down in TV history as the most universally hated finale in history (deservedly so.)  The loathing is so bad, it eclipses how great the show was at one point.

I don't know... Healy and the two mustachio'd guards are fun caricatures. Even Jason Biggs' guy is well developed. I think part of the charm of the show is that there are no truly likable or hateable characters.

That said, One-Leg Guard-Daddy is terrible.

FeedTheCollapse: The whole last season felt like the actors and writers just running out the clock.

The direction and editing felt phoned-in too. There were strange pauses and weird story-boarding at times in the show that were inconsistent with the way things were even in Season 7.

Confabulat: Definitely Under the Dome. Every episode of that show makes the Dexter finale seem like intelligent and plausible writing.

Precisely.

Plus who gives a fark about anyone in that town? They're all annoying as piss, Pipe some hydrogen cyanide in, since the "dome" which is apparently actually a "sphere" is evidently permeable to gas but not explosives and extreme heat. Elseswise they'd all have mercifully suffocated by now.

When the best male characters on a show are two-dimensional jokes, then you've got a problem. Again, turnabout is fair play as female characters have gotten the same lousy writing treatment as well, but when you're in a situation where certain characters are deeply involved and help drive facets of plot, and they're poorly-written, it's problematic. OITNB passes the Bechdel Test in spades, but there's more to a show than just that.
