Sorry, Subby, but anything including Zoooooooooooooooooooooooooey and her quirky, geeky, LOVE ME FANBOY ways is automatically something that will make you want to rip your eyes off.

/plus, Christmas music all sucks anyway.

Ten Christmas songs that won't make you want to rip your eyes off.

O_o

Seems like "ears" would have been a better choice here. Besides, one would have to rip one's eyes out, not off.

Looks for Pogues, list disappoints.

2013-12-17 08:30:56 AM
All of those seemed so.... hipsterish. I have never heard of any of them and won't play any of the links.

Give me Dean Martin singing anything, those are the best xmas songs. U2, Paul McCartney, Yoko Ono, and the siberian orchestra people can all suck it.

Concur, needs Fairytale of New York

Kante West - "Kim, they tole' me/Pa-rump-a-plump-rump!"

2013-12-17 08:34:06 AM
Rip my eyes off, no.

Ears.. fark yeah.

2013-12-17 08:38:14 AM
My wife has been listening to the SonicTap/DirecTV Christmas music channel non-stop since Thanksgiving. Who knew there were so many light jazz Christmas songs? And they all sound like three different songs playing at once.

2013-12-17 08:41:38 AM
Looks at page, Kanye West, yeah this list is dead to me.

2013-12-17 08:57:49 AM
Sue me, I like the She & Him Christmas album.  I also like Ella Fitzgerald and Andy Williams and The Choir Of King's College, Cambridge.  Depends on what mood I'm in for Christmas music.

I agree as well, though it's good to see Camera Obscura on there.  It's a nice, but sad, tune...

any good Christmas music list without Straight No Chaser, is not a good Christmas music list.

their version of 12 Days of Christmas is the version to beat them all :D

I don't get stabby very often. Even when there are 3 versions of Jingle Bell Rock played within the same 20 minute block, i don't get stabby. At work the other day this song came on, and after suffering through what seemed like forever, not 5 minutes later a cover of this same god forsaken song came on.

/i felt a little stabby

2013-12-17 10:31:34 AM
They picked the wrong Sufjan Stevens song. This one is better.

2013-12-17 11:00:47 AM
Only good song there is Run-DMC.

2013-12-17 11:04:25 AM
How about Dio singing God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen?

What do you think she is singing?

No Christmas at Ground Zero or the Night Santa Went Crazy and the writers can take a lead pipe up the ass, screw their hipster bullshiat.

2013-12-17 11:53:29 AM
Sorry, any list with Kanye West in it will make you want to disfigure yourself.

2013-12-17 12:03:57 PM
Why can't she sing it while topless?

Also agree, and I actually happen to enjoy No Use For a Name's cover of it as well.

Not including The Kink's Father Christmas makes this list useless.

You've never heard Christmas in Hollis? Just because you never heard of it doesn't make is hipsterish.

The author of that list was clearly born after 1990 (with Run-DMC thrown in for old school cred).

Fairytale of New York - Pogues

Hooray for Santy Claus - Meat Depressed
Oi! Santa - The Yobs
Bob Kringle - The Creamers

Christmas In Hollis and Christmas Wrapping are the two best Christmas songs of the last 30+ years. There are many other good songs, but they all fall in line after these two.

The one and only Xmas song that doesn't make me want to set fire to the nearest mall.

I tend to like my christmas songs peppered with swearing. Among my favorites:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hawOAtZcW9o (Joe Pesci-"If it doesn't snow on Christmas")
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=srHM2sIll68 (Red Peters-"You ain't getting shiat for Christmas")

Agreed. I would add the following:

My second favorite Christmas album:

Duke Ellington / Billy Strayhorn - Sugar Rum Cherry
(Tell me you can't see the Sugar Plum Fairy coming home at 6 AM, drunk off her ass, missing a shoe.)

Jars of Clay - Little Drummer Boy
Bob Rivers - 12 Pains of Christmas
Bob Rivers - The Restroom Door Said Gentlemen
Bob & Doug McKenzie - Twelve Days of Christmas
Mannheim Steamroller - God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen

That song reminds me more of real Christmas than any of the traditional ones. Chestnuts roasting on an open fire? What's a chestnut? And who wants a fire when the temperature outside is in the 80's?

Thanks subby. The more of you there are who don't get it, the better my odds are.

/Still more likely to win the megamillions.

I thought it was suppose to be Ironic especially being named "Bad Religion", although  I must say that Greg does have a great voice.
