As others have mentioned the original cast of 90210 were in their late 20's/early 30's when in high school.

Some of the cast of the Vampire Diaries are in their 30's when they're either supposed to be in high school or young enough to hang out with high school kids.  Yes they're vampires and old so moot point I suppose.

Most of the cast of Buffy was in their late 20's or early 30's while playing teenagers.

Keiko Agena who played Lane on Gilmore Girls was in her 30's.

That's the thing about Hollywood - it skews our perception of ages.  They get 20 somethings to play teenagers, 30 somethings to play 20 somethings, 40 somethings to play 30 somethings, etc.  Rarely do you ever see people playing anyone their age.  Then you get the other extreme as you get in the 40's+ as they will hire 40 or 50 year olds to play 60+ sometimes.  It's all messed up.

Everyone who thinks they look good/young for their age is probably just comparing themselves to characters who are their age on TV but are played by actors 10 years older than them.  Now that I'm in my 30's it's downright insulting to see 40 somethings playing characters who are supposed to be my age or younger.  It's like really Hollywood, that's what you think 30 year olds look like?

I used to work at a casting agency and we had our headshot files categorized by age ranges (at least one of the sorting methods).  50+ was an entire group.  So you had 70 somethings mixed with 50 year olds because they "have the same look" and can therefore go out for the same parts.  Not that there weren't other factors to consider, but the age one always made me scratch my head when I got the "hey we need someone to play an elderly person in this commercial.  Pull a bunch of headshots for people in their 50's+."  Of course that is nowhere near as offensive as "we need a bunch of kids who look like they could live in the ghetto so pull a bunch of pics of black kids who have that ghetto look.  No, that one's too light.  No that one's too cute."  Yah that stuff happens (I'm sure no one is surprised).

sno man: Mugato: Slaxl: I wonder what the oldest person to play a teenager ever was.

"Cameron" was 29 when they did Ferris Bueller.

Micheal J Fox and the dead Glee guy get honorable mentions.

Hey Look, extremely old teenagers.
