This site is my homepage. Every day I get to work I load this site up and read the Sports tab. I don't go anywhere else for my sports because I used to feel like everyone was part of a big group of fans that all gathered around and had fun.

Used to.

Lately, the click-whoring has reached unbearable levels. It's bad enough that ESPN tries to cram their version of events down our throats, but now Fark feels the need to repeatedly green the same topics just to see us complain about them. They'll attach random player tags of regular users to unrelated stories to get them to come to the threads. I've paid $5 per month for a while now just to post trivia that I write just for this site in the Power Rankings thread every week and now I don't even know when they'll be up - it could come at any time between 11am and 4pm depending on whatever idiot modmin is working that day.

But that's not the worst thing. The worst thing is that this is no longer a tab where a community talks about the greenlit content. It's one where the content is greenlit to antagonize specific members of the community. Where content is put up regardless of quality (looking at you, PFM) just to make us type more letters and drive the hits up. When is the last time you can honestly say you came here and actually learned something through the greenlights instead of just serving as an opportunity to biatch at each other? I know it's been a while for me. I follow the NFL, watch NFL Network, ESPN, and read Fark every day of the week and for all our biatching and moaning about ESPN being unwilling to just let a topic go we're worse by far. We talked about Tebow just as much as they did. We biatched about the Patriots just as much as they did. We must have had 20 Redskins name greenlights this year in spite of the fact that they're NOT changing the name, we're going to have 30 Redskins RG3 Greenlights by the end of the season, and in every thread we're going to say exactly the same thing (OMG DAN SNYDER) and then pretend like we know anything other than exactly what we're fed every single farking day. It's the same for every Cowboys thread (OMG TONY ROMO) and it'll be the same for every 49ers/Seahawks thread and it'll be the exact same for every other thread in this tab because we're fed us the same crap over. and over. and over.

I guess the reason I'm so upset about this is because I genuinely like a lot of you.  Robsuland  mikaloydare two of my favorite farkers.  eddievercetti is a great guy (for an Eagles fan) and I love seeing people like  Bunny de Ville representing their team even if they're bad. Not to mention my Cowboys fan friends on this site, who I've met in person and even sent little gifts back and forth with. Even IAmRight (who I bitterly disagreed with for quite a while) always gave me a lot to think about and I felt like he had reasons for feeling the way he did even if I disagreed with him and thought he was wrong. You guys are the type of people that make this tab work. I'm sure I'm forgetting a lot of you, and I'm sorry if I don't list your name. I just want to get this all out. But some people on this site do nothing but antagonize others, contribute nothing, and turn every thread into a giant shiat-fest that makes me want to just close the window and actually do some work. Ugh.

Anyway, I was really disappointed in the tab today. Two threads on a Cowboys regular season loss, neither one of which were a clever headline - only playgrounds for us to fight with each other. Well, I'm not going to hop in that sandbox again today. If you want this to be what your website is about, then fine. You don't need my $5 to make a fan forum. Just know that some of us want to talk Football instead of yelling at each other.

Who approved that headline? It's about as close to calling someone out in a headline as you can get without directly mentioning them by name. I think it crosses the line.

As much as I love to see a Dallas beatdown (mostly from the way the media gives them the royalty treatment with premiere games no matter how bad they are), I just don't get the play-calling. All Romo aside...

You're up 26-3. You know you have a crummy defense, bad to almost historic levels. Your running back is posting an obscenely high ypr against your opponent. How does any coach put that data together and say, "Hey, you know what? I want my defense on the field as much as possible! My running back really could use some rest. Now's the perfect chance to start slinging the ball all over the field!"

Wow.  That post is almost worth an immediate ignore. I see more originality and humor on the Politics Tab.

Evey opinion you have is now invalid after that post. Yeesh.

PluckYew: ESh*tPN has 5 Cowboys stories on it's front panel.  C'mon FARK, we can get more Cowboys choke stories greenlit.

We need more JEST stories too.

Let's NOT talk about how the SheCawks don't have to leave Seattle until February (provided they win 1 of the 2 remaining home games where they are undefeated).  It's a good thing the Superb Owl isn't played in Seattle.

dude, you're a huge part of the NFL threads specifically.  Don't let it bother you that much.

yes, "soemone" got called out.  what are you gonna do?  The person that greenlit this is equally to blame as the person that submitted it. either way, WFC?  don't let it get to you.  it was probably submitted with a wink anyways.  don't sweat it.

I submitted this completely as a nod and a wink.  When I read the article I felt like she had written it at least 4 times already this season as every point the writer made I had seen her make multiple times already. It was meant as a tribute to her famous among farkers fandom.

Dinobot: On the other hand, at times this just sounds as complaints for picking on the cowboys when they're down, something that has been going on for several seasons -- and less about a tasteless headline that calls out a beloved Farker.

I appreciate a good Cowboys rib-kicking as long as the headline is clever and there's something to discuss or read in the story. I've been here since 2007 so I've seen PLENTY of it, so it's not like I just woke up with a sandy vagina today and couldn't handle it anymore.  But there's nothing "Farkish" about either of these Cowboys greenlights - on a week where we get to see the best of the best Fark headlines of the year I'm reminded how good this site can be at its best and then I see this greenlight and remember just how terrible a site can be if the content doesn't match the spirit of the website.

Meanwhile, nobody talks about the heroics of Matt Flynn and the GB defense. And I'm very proud of our WRs. Just an astounding effort in the second half. Back up tightends (quarless, you're the farking man), Boykin looking like an experienced vet somehow, and Datone picking it up after jolly went out. Just an awesome contribution from players who normally aren't involved and/or learning the ropes.

Their efforts are completely overshadowed as if the win was just given to them. They deserve to be on the highlight reels.

mikaloyd: Fade2black: Romo gets flustered when he's put under pressure to perform. And then makes mistakes. Do you know why, mouth breathing lunatics? Because Romo can only score so many points before his DEFENSE has to actually man up and play like they've been there before.

Its not like the Cowboys defense hasnt been there before. Romo himself sometimes puts them in that position

Bullshiat, the defense is one of the worst in the league in about every single stat category

They should never be in the situation for a single Romoception to cost them the game against these bad teams, but they are because the defense is a bunch of sub-par players.  When Romo starts throwing 5 picks a game like Manning the Lesser then you can start blaming him

I'm a die hard trollhawks fan, so I don't care much for the Cowboys.  But it's amazing to me how many idiots there are that spew and spittle about how bad Romo is.

Romo gets flustered when he's put under pressure to perform.  And then makes mistakes.  Do you know why, mouth breathing lunatics?  Because Romo can only score so many points before his DEFENSE has to actually man up and play like they've been there before.

You can try to blame Romo all you want, but the fact of the matter is, there's at least, at LEAST, 3-4 games where if Dallas' defense was on par with say, the Panthers or even the Texans, the Cowboys would've destroyed their opponent and would be playing for a high NFC seed.

But hey, enjoy your offseason complaining about Romo.  I'm sure if you replace him with Kirk Cousins or McCown, he'll fix all of their problems and they'll go undefeated, right?

Oh wait, the defense just gave up 40 points again.  But yeah...the QB who's averaging 26 pts a game is *totally* the problem.  Good jorb.

Throw an INT and lose a game 36-37 and get TWO headlines on the same day, one calling out a member of the community.

So. Classy.

I will say one thing Romo got thrown under the bus by his own coach after the game. That's going to help team chemistry soooo much.

Awww, thanks, honey. It's not really a problem for me unless it's ugly. Kind of comes with the territory of being a loudmouth, I guess. And subby's right. I could've very well written that article. It doesn't excuse what Romo did, but it points out that there is PLENTY of blame to go around.

That being said, I don't really have a lot of time to fark around on fark today. So you kids have fun. Just be cool & bring facts instead of your SportsCenter narratives.

Yes they have a bad D, yes its mind boggling that they weren't running the ball, but, those were 2 bad balls Romo threw, IMO. Thats nobody's fault but his. On the 2nd pick, he never sets up. He just fires the ball in a panic. Had he set his feet, and taken half a second, he probably doesn't throw a pick.

Funny thing is, as bad as the division is, Dallas still has a legitimate shot at being eliminated in the first round of the playoffs.

Whatever narrative you chose to adopt it was still amazing to watch happen, especially considering the fact that a big chunk of the viewers expected Romo to blow it and he delivered. Now how Romo got put into that situation to serve up some more glorious 4th quarter fail is pretty obvious but still, when you're sitting around with your friends and everyone is talking about how Romo is going to throw a second pick to seal the game and then he does, well it's damn fun to watch and a cause for celebration.

Who cares if Dallas' D sucks or the play calling was awful, it's all true, watching Romo fail yet again in a huge game and then admiring the blowback is way more fun, it's like a circus and Romo is the high quality clown getting all the attention. Does he deserve it all? Hell no, maybe people should be paying more attention to the toothless lion that is the Dallas defense but they're not, he's getting all the attention anyway and he deserves some of it, so tough shiat Romo, go cry on your bed of money with some insanely hot chick.

I heard tales of a Romo collapse, but if they ran a balanced offense in the first half, doing well running the ball, why on earth did they get away from that?  Such incompetence cannot fall solely on the QB.  I have seen so many games lost in the last two years by teams with strong run games getting off balance and going for passes rather than what they do well.

Dallas fans deserve better.  Sorry to hear about the loss.

Bareefer Obonghit: Why even argue for him at this point? What do you possibly gain from it?

CBS Sports will come up with a QBRomo to compete with ESPN's QBR.  While ESPNs QBR favors a bad defense forcing a QB to win it in the 4th quarter, the QBRomo will favor scoring a lot of points in a loss and any 4th quarter turnovers are irrelevant.
