Oh no, oh no
Here we go now.

Ozzy's flying high again.

How can they tell?

Tommy?
Seriously?

How the fark is he still alive? I mean, more power to him, but WTF?

He's quite wealthy and can afford top quality healthcare. If he'd taken care of himself, he could have lived into his 90's (but then again he wouldn't be Ozzy).

Dude must have a liver transplant punch card.

Relapse? You mean he's sober again.

He has a bet with Keith Richards?

Smoking and tripping are all that he does....

Looking forward to seeing them at Hollywood Bowl this year. They were awesome when I saw them earlier this year.

Like I said, God bless him. I was at three of his farewell tours and although he appears to be a dottering old man in those reality shows, he's Freddy Mercury on an 8-ball when on stage. So do whatever it is you're doing, dude.

I would assume he's doing 8-balls.

I saw them 3 times on the 13 tour. I was amazed how great they sounded. Also 13 is an amazing album. Yes, you can point to certain songs and say, "Well that's just the song Black Sabbath", or "That's just War Pigs restructured" it's still wonderful.

I had no idea he was in recovery.

I wouldn't put it on the same level as their first 4 albums, but it's solid and holds its own with what they did the first time around.

I take it you haven't seen their recent tour.  He is a shell of hisself.  Barely holding on.....forgot the words and place in the songs a few times (Detroit in August 2013).

He's been a shell of himself since about '76 frankly. Unbelievable how much better the band sounded with Dio then they did on the last few (70's) Ozzy tours. I've probably seen Ozzy 6 or 7 times over the years with and without Sabbath and it's always faintly disappointing.

I listened to the whole Never Say Die album while driving today on a lark.  It came out 35 years ago... and it seemed like that would be the end of it then.  It is hard to believe he is still swingin' the chain so to speak.

NEVER SAY DIE is one of the most tragically underrated rock albums of all time.

A true gem. "Hard Road" and "Air Dance" are masterpieces. Ozzy is spot on. He nails that record.

It is a really tight and perfect record. Sabbath fans disdain it because it isn't like PARANOID or MASTER OF REALITY with all that drudge heavy riffage, However, the composition and recording is truly wonderful. I think TECHNICAL ECSTASY is overlooked too. Great records.

I've seen him about as much, and I've seen him be abysmal, transcendent, and in-between....

They were unaware because Sharon pulled it out of her ass to drum up publicity.  I mean, does anyone really think Ozzy "I can barely stammer out a sentence while sober" Osbourne could fool people into thinking he was sober while drunk or high?

Yes, because I don't think we could differentiate.

In Indianapolis Aug 18th 2013, he was dead on. Only one or two sour notes all night, very energetic, probably the best of the six or seven Sabbath shows I've seen since 1983. I have listened to a number of bootleg recordings from the US 2013 tour and there were some awful nights, Detroit among them. To my ear it seems to be a PA monitoring problem because he doesn't just hit a few off key notes, he does entire verses a half step flat. That tells me it's monitor related, not talent related.

Yes, Dio was a much stronger singer than Ozzy, but comparing the two is ridiculous because they are very different men and very different talents.

Dio > Ozzy

That is all.

He is such a fraud. His early "solo:" albums (Blizzard of Oz and Diary} were entirely written by the band but Ozzy and Sharon screwed them out of the credit and money they deserve.

I feel bad for Tony and Geezer. They had a good thing going with Heaven and Hell.

not to be an enabler.... but some of Ozzys best work has been done while we was a boozing drug fiend... his sober albums are just kinda .... meh.. slow and ... well slow..

I thought it had already been mentioned that Ozzy did this intentionally since it was the only way he knew he could get back into the right mode for making the music?

Definitely, but I also liked Ian Gillan in Sabbath.
