Losing Gronk is gonna hurt, but the shoes roll on........

Looking good in 2 leagues, but up shiat's creek in league 3.  Down 29 after week 1, my unquestioned #1 RB this week is Chris Ogbannaya, and it looks like I'm flexing Coby Fleener.

There's no shame in 4th place.  Right?

None at all.  I have more of those than I do 1sts.

Dear everyone else on my team:

Peyton farked up the other night.  Try and make up for it, please.  I'd like to make it to the championship game again.

Sincerely
FriarReb, manager, Jack Lambert's Missing Teeth.

\and  Harv, at this point I'd be frickin' ecstatic if I could use Fleener, or any tight end, as a flex, as bad as my WR's have been in that spot

My bench "options" consist of Brian Hartline (just can't trust him/Tannenbaum enough), Michael Floyd (banged up & facing the #1 defense against WRs), and Denarius Moore (might play 15 downs, might play 50 downs, might not play at all).

Put another way, I'm starting Harry Douglas at WR2.  Still not sure how I even got into the playoffs. lol

Whatever, I just got off work a couple hours ago.

Does anyone know if Cecil Shorts is playing? I don't have much of a back up option, but I guess anyone is better than a guy that's sitting.

Never mind. Just found something saying he's sitting.

So, Kendall Wright or Brandon LaFell?

I don't understand the concept of fantasy football.  Is it for people who live in a town that doesn't have an actual team like Des Moines, or for people who have an actual team that is shiatty like Chicago?

I did hear it reported that he would probably sit.  Is Ace Sanders available?

Played Eddie Royal, the rest of my WR options are Torrey Smith (most solid one I have), Em Sanders (whom I swear knows when I stop using him), James Jones (with WhoTF knows throwing to him), and Marvin Jones.  I could also use Sproles as my flex, but don't feel comfortable using him and Pierre at the same time.

How I'm in the playoffs, I can't tell you.

Ace sanders is available. Should I go with that?

Wow.  I've at least got A.J. Green.

/Lesson learned: never draft Colts in the first 5 rounds.
//Don't draft future Colts there, either.
///Former Colts are a-okay.

I've done quite well for myself in fantasy sports over the years, on the simple precept that it's never wise to start anyone who goes by "Ace".  That goes double when they play for Jacksonville.

It's close I think I'd feel safer with Wright but both should see a lot of targets.

Actually going to reverse myself.  Wright will probably be getting Patrick Peterson all day.  Go Ace despite his name.

PPR league. I've got Lacy in a RB slot, but he goes later, and although I'm pretty sure he goes, in case he doesn't who out of these guys do I put in? Bernard, Ellington, or Richardson. Bernard, right? Anyone hear anything on Kiki Alonso playing, I haven't heard squat

Polartank13: Bernard, Ellington, or Richardson.

I have a strong hunch that Ellington will have a big game today, so yes, you should absolutely go with Bernard.

Yup I'd go Bernard if you have too.

PPR. Pick 2 of:
Shane Vereen
Toby Gerhart
Reggie Bush
Steven Jackson
Rashad Jennings
Lamar Miller

2013-12-15 11:06:37 AM
Rashad Jennings or Bobby Rainey? Jennings is seemingly the safer pick, but he's coming off an injury, and Rainey is up against the 49ers.

2013-12-15 11:08:37 AM
Well, made playoffs in 2 of 3. 1 of them I've got no real choices to make, but in the other....

At RB I need to start two of Gore @ TB, PT Cruiser @ Stl, Andre Brown v Sea, Jordan Todman v Buffalo, or Chris Ogbonnaya v Chi.

I've got Gore and Pierre Thomas penciled in right now, but this is NOT an easy decision. I put Gore and Brown on equal footing, but with SF much more likely to be able to run. NY is just going to fall behind and have Eli chuck it into triple coverage all game. Thomas can shred Stl, but he's also in a 3 back timeshare. Todman...I mean hell. And I've got Gordon and Cameron going, so if I start Oggie I'll have 3 Browns in my lineup. I'd hazard a guess that no one has ever won starting three Browns. Even the Browns.

2013-12-15 11:09:49 AM
One of my playoff teams is forced to play Kirk Cousins since A-Rod isn't coming back yet and Case Keenum has used up his fantasy potential. Also, the WRs have touch matchups, so I'm focusing my attention on the other one.

I started Demaryius, so that bombed on me. In most weeks, my other WR was Brandon Marshall and I played Alshon Jeffery in the flex. However, my hunch that Keenan Allen was going to do well against a weak Broncos D succeeded. The problem is that I must choose who has better upside between Marshall and Jeffery against Cleveland (my gut says Jeffery). If it matters, the only other WR on the roster is Stevie Johnson against the Jags.

Also on a side note, Bills D against the Jags or Cardinals D against the Titans?

LucklessWonder: Shane Vereen
Toby Gerhart
Reggie Bush
Steven Jackson
Rashad Jennings
Lamar Miller

Vereen and Jackson, although Jennings might not be a terrible option either.  Gerhart is out, Bush is questionable for Monday night against a strong run D, and Miller is Miller.

Incorrigible Astronaut: Rashad Jennings or Bobby Rainey? Jennings is seemingly the safer pick, but he's coming off an injury, and Rainey is up against the 49ers.

I had the same decision in one league and went with Jennings on a hunch.  Again, in keeping with my track record on hunches, you should play Rainey.

LucklessWonder: PPR. Pick 2 of:
Shane Vereen
Toby Gerhart
Reggie Bush
Steven Jackson
Rashad Jennings
Lamar Miller

Vereen is a no brainer.
If you feel brave you can wait on Bush who signs point to starting.
Gerhart is out
Jennings is facing KC
Miller is on the Dolphins and is splitting carries.
Jackson is best after Bush.  Facing Washington.

Vereen obviously. 2nd option is either Gerhart, or Bush if you're willing to gamble. (And since he's going up against the Ravens, if by some miracle, Bernard Pierce or Joique Bell are available, pick one up as insurance.)

I'd go Vereen and Jackson. Jackson only bbecause the 'Skins suck

Jennings, Rainey has only preformed vs poor run D's

I think you have the safest picks but both Todman and Oingoboingo are sleepers

The WR you start is the one who won't be seeing Haden.  However in this case both will probably see him so... it's damn tough.  Go with your gut.
Go with the Cards D the Jags while a mess have been playing better.

So..
I am glad AP and Gronk got injuried. It was such a hassle keeping track of all the points they would get me.

Moving the fark on.

Big Ben or Tom Brady? Ben doesn't do well against the Bengal so but he's been hot. WTf do I do?

OK, I had a first round bye (went from 2-5 to 8-5 and a #2 seed, yay me).  So, now I contemplate; do I stick with Cam Newton at home against the Jets or take a chance on Cutler's return in Cleveland?  I'm 99% on Newton but let me know if I'm missing something silly here.

I have the RB blues...

Pick 2 (1 PPR and .5 PP rushing attempt):
Reggie Bush
Bobby Rainey
Stevan Ridley
Darren Sproles
Matt Asiata
Donald Brown
Jordan Todman

Deep bench, collected some RBs this week.  I'm tempted to start Bobby Rainey and Matt Asiata because neither are injured, and they won't share many carries.  The ambitious side of me says Bush and Ridley.  I'm tempted to split the difference and start Bush and Rainey...half ambition half security.

Also, I have a WR/TE flex spot that I'm on the fence about:  Pierre Garcon or Delanie Walker?  Leaning towards Walker.

I think with that collection you actually have to start Bush and hope.
I think I'd lean Todman (amazingly) over the rest of the bunch (Hate Rainey vs good run D)

Start Walker, the Cards have a blind spot for the TE.
