If some crazy guy stands up in the middle of a crowded room and starts rambling about how the aliens are going to destroy the world soon, no one is going to start talking about whether aliens are actually about to destroy the world.  They're going to talk about how crazy that guy is.

Fox News is that crazy guy.

When it's Fox News, do we really even care what the article says? We KNOW it's gonna be "OBAMA BAD"

We're just bored of it at this point.

Churchill2004: I don't really care whether Puerto Rico goes with independence or statehood- both have their advantages and disadvantages- but they should be forced to choose on or the other. A straight-up vote with only those two options. Perpetual territorial status may be justified for territories with very small populations, but it shouldn't be used for as large a population as PR.

in 2012, Puerto Rico held a referendum on statehood, which passed.

the statehood question now falls to Congress.

/it took over a decade for Congress to approve Alaskan statehood

There's more truth to this than you realize. The GOP's "Latino Outreach" is going to fail in ways they can't comprehend, because they clump "Latino" into one large chunk.

Mexicans, Cubanos, and Puertorriqueños are three distinct groups, with three distinct sets of important issues, and those three groups represent the vast majority of Latinos in the US.

hubiestubert: See, with that headline I figured it was going to push for statehood.

Instead I got DERP all up on mah phone.

Ewwwwww...

I can't imagine that Fox News is pushing too hard for Puerto Rico statehood, since it would almost certainly add 2 Democratic Senators and 5 Representatives (its population is just over CT's, and just under OK's, and both of those states have 5 representatives) to Congress, due to the effectiveness of the Republican Party's outreach to Latinos.

Considering they have the credibility of The Enquirer, are classified as "infotainment" and have a long history of propaganda, deception and outright lies who would care what they say? Chances are it's just more lies and propaganda to feed to the willfully blind. Take yourself for instance.

I like how this was kinda shoe-horned in the middle...like oh btw

"Despite the bleak economic outlook, Puerto Rico's surprisingly low 7.2 percent uninsured rate is actually second-lowest compared to all states, behind Massachusetts."

Anything to avoid talking about the same thing we've been discussing every single day for over a year, huh?
And poor Fox news... They're just the messenger here. How callous of us.

They aren't a messenger anymore. They are a tape on an endless loop at this point.

Apparently it can't stop FOXNews from blaming everything on Obamacare.  It's the gift that keeps on giving.
