Did the news broadcast have to paws for station identification?

It's good she closed the curtains. Bears are pervy.

Alonjar: Woman sounds like quite a piece of work.

This. Lady, I've had a black bear walking on the roof of my car (yes, there was food in the car but in the trunk.)

However, given that it was a mother and her cubs I'll cut you some slack. That is the one situation that makes me very nervous around bears because momma bears are highly protective and do not respond sedately if they feel threatened.

My parents have a black bear that climbs the tree 5' from the house so he can peer in the window. Sooner or later he'll figure out that if he went around to the other side of the house he could just look in through the patio doors.

You though they might have found the entire state of Florida AND an alligator in their pool? That must be a huge pool!

1;50 worth of video just to see the 10 seconds of bears that was actually interesting.

I'm not a lawyer, and I don't play one on TV.  But in terms of tort law and property liabilities, I'd say those snowbirds have created what might be called an "attractive nuisance" for wandering children of another species.

They look like they'd make nice rugs.

Bear meat tends to be pretty gamy, but it's ok in chili and sausages.

Geez lady, they're bears looking for a swim, not giant rabid cobras out for revenge.

Get a pot and a wooden spoon, start banging on it.  Those boat horn in a can things work wonders, too.  Throw small objects at 'em.  Black bears tend to be skiddish and find basic hazing tactics to be obnoxious on a level that they don't want to return to that location.  Keep pool gates closed and latched.  Don't leave garbage or food (pet or otherwise) out.  No point in attracting them in the first place if you can avoid it.
