And just how much are they worth? Hell I might start killing people if the profit margin on bones is this high.

I hear your mom buried plenty of bones in her day. :)

The hip bone's connected to the back bone.  The back bone's connected to the neck bone.  The neck bone's connected to the meth lab.

Crazy easy to do at a medical school / hospital combo. I used to take the new people working over night into the dissection rooms for kicks.

I'm sure the university now has a bone to pick with him.
Building back his reputation is probably gonna cost him an arm and a leg.
There is no way he can tell future girlfriends he doesn't have any skeletons in his closet.

casual disregard: jasonvatch: Just curious, who buys used human bones?

Allograft bone can be taken from cadavers that have donated their bone so that it can be used for living people who are in need of it.

You'd think the supply chain would be more tightly controlled than "buying from this guy who just happened to have a suitcase full of them".

At my friends University there is a bronze statue of a horse in the courtyard.  A few years ago some med students stole a cadaver in the middle of the night and propped it up on the back of the horse.  Security has increased since then.

How many bones do you need to steal to rack up an $84,000  bill?

I am thinking that I'd value one bone at around $0.01 on the high end.  At 206 bones per body, that's enough skeletons to populate a large town.

He might have done better in terms of dollars per cubic meter to steal napkins and ketchup packets from the cafeteria.

Never thought I would see my Alma Mater in a Fark headline.

Luckily the bike wasn't a bomb.

You guys need to stop ribbing Subby for his headline.  I thought you all were made of sternum stuff than that.

In fairness, these were politician vertebrae. Do you know how many of those bastards you have to kill to find any backbone at all?

Uh, no. As long as the Alumni Office has an address for you, they'll use it. Your best bet is to update your parents' address to a fictitious one.

So people are buying black market bones for their home Frankenstein labs?

Black Market Bones sounds like a pretty good band name though...
