Michael Jackson owned every stage he ever set foot on. He probably had the other babies in the maternity ward up and dancing.

In related news, it's starting to sound like that Freddie Mercury/Michael Jackson project is turning into  Chinese Democracy.

And they want Ben Whisley (Q in  Skyfall) to play Freddie now.

And apparently, according to the picture, Brian May is against badger culling.

\and people wonder where Monty Python got their inspiration...I propose that it's all NME's fault for putting those three facts into one article.

Oh, Michael. So young. So innocent. No not-farked-up-in-the-head yet. If only you had a dad that could have been very supportive and ambitious without being such a cruel jackass.

I weep for that little boy. All those gifts he had and his father ruined him. I wish I could take him out of there and keep him safe, young, and innocent forever in my crawlspace.

There was once a survey, perhaps on Fark, where the question was posed "If you could go back in time and eliminate one band from music history, which would it be?"

The Jackson Five was my choice.

Really? Of all the crappy bands you pick one of the first boy bands?

On second thought....

Michael Jackson makes me sad. He was such an amazing performer, but he turned into his own worst enemy.

What's sadder is this prediction of what he would be like at 40. (courtesy of snopes.com) Such a waste of talent.

When Michael died, my first thought was "well I never really liked his music anyway."

And then everyone started playing his songs.

And I thought, "Oh yeah, that's a great song."
And then, "Oh yeah, that one, too."
And, "Hey, I forgot that one, that was a great song."

Etc, etc for a about a hundred different tracks.

11 years later they made this

It's still a video triumph to me.

I think they must have pushed the Scanimate to its limits there.

He probably also had them learning the alphabet at an early age.

No Jackson Five...no Michael. Or Janet. Or LaToya. Or their idiot father.

Throw in some roller skates, and that could have been part of "Xanadu".

His father certainly beat the black out of him.

I lover their Motown stuff. If those grooves and choruses don't lift you up then you haven't got a soul. Too bad they checked out of the human race.
